My 22 year old daughter bought her first used car from Corwin. This ended up being a huge mistake, and I just want to warn others if you are thinking about doing business with Corwin Toyota. My daughte Corwin. This ended up being a huge mistake, and I just want to warn others if you are thinking about doing business with Corwin Toyota. My daughter drove from KC to purchase a used car after the salesperson test drove it and said it had no issues. When she arrived the first thing he told her there actually was a problem. The air conditioner was not working so it would need a few days for repairs. Since she is from KC they will have to deliver it to her and of course that would cost her extra. The vehicle was dropped off. My daughter turned it on and tried the radio. The radio cover fell to the ground and would not work. Corwin also failed to replace a very dirty old air filter, removed the cabin filter but did replace it with a new one. Spark plugs all failed, but Corwin decided not to replace those either. When she drove it, there was a very loud thumping noise. Discovered the noise was from the front tires that were not screwed on tightly so they were wobbling. The front right tire had a large chunk torn off on the sidewall so had to be replaced. The gas gauge is also broken so she can’t tell when it is empty. When we changed the oil there was only less than 1 quart and the oil was black. We were told the oil had been changed. This was the worst experience I have ever had when dealing with a Toyota dealership. Absolutely unacceptable! To make matters worse, when I tried to contact anyone to discuss these problems no one wanted to speak to me. A General Manager finally agreed to refund us a small amount (of course not what I asked for) to cover some of the repair work that they said they had already done. I am just sharing this chain of horrible events so you can make an informed decision about if you want to take the risk and do business with Corwin Toyota. More
