Not a Good Experience I went in to Courtesy Chevrolet to buy out the lease for my 2017 Volt. I worked with the first salesman to come up with a number that was close to my I went in to Courtesy Chevrolet to buy out the lease for my 2017 Volt. I worked with the first salesman to come up with a number that was close to my lease price, and I was happy with that. He told me that there was already a five year warranty on the car, so I didn't need to worry about purchasing any additional warranty. I felt good with the number and happy with my purchase. But then once I went into the finance department over $100 was added to my monthly cost to include bumper to bumper warranty and GAP insurance. I told him that I had been told that the car already has a warranty, he said that was power train and I needed an additional bumper to bumper to cover things that will break. He said that he has a Volt and all kinds of things break all the time and if I didn't purchase this additional warranty I would be spending thousands of dollars out of my own pocket. In the end, I purchased the additional warranty because he told me everything would be covered by the bumper to bumper, which I have since found out is not true. I didn't get the GAP insurance, but I still walked out of there with a number that is $50 over than I had wanted. This practice of adding things in after a number is agreed upon is very shady in my opinion. Also the man I dealt with was very condescending to me. He actually said, "What is $50 a month to you?" $50 a month may not be a lot to him, but it is to me. I am a teacher and my grocery budget for the month is $400, so $100 a week, so $50 is a lot of month to me. I love my Chevrolet Volt but I won't every purchase another Chevrolet simply because of the service I have received from your employees. (Also, I was told that I would be called to come in for an inspection, a month later and I haven't received a call.) More
