Craig Smith is a second-generation dealer. His father and uncle started in the new car business in 1963 in Dekalb Illinois. The family sold their store in Illinois in 1975 and moved to Florida where they operated a new car dealership until 1994. Market changes and a new overpass built in front of the Florida dealership dictated a change for The Smith Family. The dealership was sold, and Craig Smith found the Galion Ohio point to be just what he was looking for. Craig Smith Auto Group was opened in May of 1995 selling Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick. The dealership is now known as Craig Smith Chevrolet Buick. Its focus is employee and customer satisfaction.
