Crest Volvo Cars responded

Eleni Brooks, I would like to start by apologizing for your disatisfaction. We work very hard to try and protect our reputation as you can see by the results of our overall online rating. Although I can say that I understand that you are upset I think you are really going out on a limb to make accusations like you did. Our stores success is directly related to the overall customer "experience". I don't think that you become the nations largest and #1 volume Volvo store by not taking care of customers. Customer satisfaction in fact is not only important but #1 in everything that we do. There is a very simple answer to your "conspiracy theory". There were 2 Saab's very similar in age and mileage. One was the light and one was the dark interior. Also one had an automatic and the other was a manual transmission. If you would like I will email you both sets of pictures. The original vehicle you had called on was sold the day you came for your appointment. Your salesman was unaware that there were two vehicles as we had traded for them both around the same time and just like to you they were all too similar. As for the AC it was in fact broken and we explained to you that we could repair it but it would add to the cost of the vehicle. In fact we had already diagnosed it but since all of the Saab dealers in the metroplex had closed down it took us longer than expected to get the parts. That is the reason we even put the car on the lot. Time is very valuable to us in my business and we have to get the cars listed and online in order to expect to sell them. Just like your salesman told you we did have every intention to repair the vehicle but as I said before every dollar we spend to recondition a car goes to the cost of the vehicle. Your salesman was in fact 100% honest with you that the carfax report was "fat fingered". However your definition and his are a little different. By "fat fingered" he was implying a mistake was made, that was the truth. The mistake was made when the mechanic did not slow down to take the exact mileage off the car prior to closing the tint ticket. It happens quite frequent and as a matter of fact has already been cleared up by carfax for the new owner. So here are my questions to you Eleni. 1. If what you said in your initial review was true than why did you even make arrangements to come look at a car that you clearly didn't believe we were honest about? 2. If the salesman mistreated you or any of the other staff than why were you inside working #'s as if you wanted to buy the car? 3. If you truly had no intentions to buy after your initial greeting, working with your salesman, etc.... than why were you going to bring the car to a third party mechanic to have it inspected? I think the answer is pretty evident. We did sell the car to another customer before you had the opportunity to follow through with taking it to a mechanic. You did not leave us a deposit to reserve the car for you and did not want to take it with you that night due to the AC. I completley understand but don't think it's fair to the staff or the store for you to bad mouth us simply cause we made a deal with another customer.
