Above and beyond I took my car in for a recall repair. They went above and beyond and fixed my broken key fob and put a battery in it. Service Department can't be bothered with recalls I purchased a 2008 Pontiac G6 new from this dealership several years ago. In the past 18 months, I have received 6 recalls on this vehicle. I called the service department at Cronic in September 2014 to schedule the repairs, and they informed me that they did not have the parts yet, and to wait approximately one month to schedule the appointment. In November, I went online and scheduled an appointment. The website said they would confirm the appointment by phone, but I never received a phone call. I called the day before the appointment to verify, and they had no record of my appointment. They stated they didn't know that you could schedule appointments online. (?) They questioned the purpose of the appointment, and when told it was for recalls, they connected me to one of the technicians in the service department. He stated (very rudely) that the recalls were recent and they didn't have the parts yet. When I explained I received recall notices 6 months earlier, he took my name and number and stated he would look into it and call me back. That was 5 months ago, and I'm not surprised that I haven't received a call yet. More
We have a 2012 Cruze with dealer installed cruise control the car had an electrical problem related to the installation of the cruise control almost two years after the installation. The dealership in her area refused to repair the car due to fact that another dealership installed the cruise control. Mr. Kohler sent a driver to get the car, left a car for my daughter to drive, took the car back to Ga. Repaired it. Then returned the car. After all that, he even called the next day to make sure she didn't have a problem with the repair. Fantastic customer service! Thanks Mr. Kohler More
I bought a 2012 Chevrolet Impala from Chronic Chevrolet in February 2012. I am a 67 year old man and have been a Chevy driver all of my life. Over the years, I have purchased more than 20 new Chevrolet vehicles. My wife owns a 2006 Impala, which, is immaculate. I also own a 2003 Silverado extended cab and a 2005 Silverado short wheel base. Within weeks of purchase, my 2012 impala’s engine was replaced at only 1600 miles. Immediately after purchase, the engine began making a “knocking noise”, which worsened with acceleration, but was present all the time. When I initially took the vehicle in for service, it was determined the noise was coming from lack of “spacers” between the engine and engine mount. They installed spacers, yet this did not correct the problem. Back in the service department shortly after and it was thought the noise was coming from the exhaust manifold. This was replaced and again, to no avail. The vehicle was in for service 3-4 times before the engine was replaced at ONLY 1600 miles. And now, for the past several months, my Impala has again frequented Chronic’s service department. The air conditioner vent has a horrible mildew, mold smell which makes it impossible to drive. I have taken it in several times – still has a horrible smell. The service department used a spray in the vents and while it helps somewhat, eventually the smell comes back full force. I was even told by one of the service department employees to use a household air freshener and spray it into the vents myself instead of bringing it into the service department. At this point, I have no choice but to park the car and not drive it. I am 67 years old, with heart disease and asthma. Driving this Impala aggravates my asthma and causes me to be physically ill for days after driving it. Just can’t drive it. I have relayed this information to the service writers and service manager at Chronic Chevrolet. Still not fixed. Not sure why the General Manager or Owner wouldn’t contact me to help. At this point, I am frustrated, angered, and disappointed. I have a brand new, $26k car that I am unable to drive, a Chevrolet dealer that cannot or does not want to help, and for the first time in my life considering a Ford. More
I needed new tires for my vehicle, so I made a call to the Cronic Dealership. Without hesitation to my request, several estimates were given to me for several different types of tires, to ensure that I go the Cronic Dealership. My tires were ordered and received on the same day, but by the time I came I was in a rush. I only had one hour and fifteen minutes to wait on what normally takes up to two hours or so. They said that they would definitely have me out in time, and they came through with time to spare!! They efficiently processed my procedure and sent me on my merry way in one hour and five minutes, with ten minutes to spare! Great timing since my reason for pressed time was that I had to pick up my four year old from school! And I would definitely recommend them knowing that I got the best value for my money and in the best time. More
My overall experience at the Cronic Dealership was a very good one. The dealership has a very family friendly atmosphere and a very professional staff from what I have always seen. Similar to the Cronic Family Legacy, every car that I have ever purchased came from the Cronic Dealership and my young son has already informed me that his first car has to come from there. I bought my last new vehicle from them back in 2008, and I have gotten all my service issues resolved there. Besides some family ties, it is establishments like the Cronic Dealership that keep me going all the way back to my Hometown of Griffin to get my car serviced. I got married almost six years ago and moved two counties away, but I always go back home for car issues. I get my groceries near home, my gas near home, and all my other personal needs near home, but I have always gone to Griffin to the Cronic Dealership to get my car serviced. My son is always excited when it is time for an oil change, maybe to play in the waiting area, but all the attention from the ladies in the office doesn't hurt either. Any establishment that makes my family feel wanted I will repay that establishment with my loyalty as long as it is in my power to do so. My philosophy is, do you go to many pediatricians for your children or do you trust one that seems to love them almost as much as you do and stay with them? I pick one a good one, and that's what I think I've done with the Cronic Dealership. My car is definitely inanimate and not human, but I pay more a month to keep the car than my child so I think that it is pretty important as well. So yes I would definitely recommend the Cronic Dealership. I always have and I always will! More
