"New" car shopping has never been a favorite experience of mine...one is, it's a big investment of time and of money...two is, I've been "oversold" in the past. I have to admit I had my concern experience of mine...one is, it's a big investment of time and of money...two is, I've been "oversold" in the past. I have to admit I had my concerns going to a big dealership like Crossroads Ford in Cary. I assumed I would be given a high pressure sales pitch but I was very interested in test driving a Focus. From Larry's initial response to my internet request (within an hour) through my entire experience I was proved time and again that this is a dealership that "gets it." Car purchases may be an everyday experience for them, but, they treated me with the patience and care as if I was their first / only customer. When I got to the lot I was immediately greeted by one of the other salesmen. When I told him I was there to see Larry, he escorted me inside the showroom, introduced me to the receptionist who then paged Larry. Larry came over a few minutes later, explained he was finishing with a customer and would be with me as quickly as he could. I was offered a comfortable place to sit with my choice of beverages. Larry came over about 20 minutes later, said the customer was taking a bit longer than anticipated but could he at least show me the Focus while he wrapped up. I went over and after looking at the Focus decided that it was too small, even for this Jetta owner. Next to it was a Fusion that caught my eye. I had read wonderful things about the Fusion but thought it might be too big for me. Larry came over and we chatted about my concerns and he suggested test driving both to compare...I started with the Fusion and was hooked. Larry answered all of my questions, highlighted some of the Fusion's features while driving and when we got back (near closing time) asked my thoughts. I assumed that since it was about 30 minutes from closing that I'd be asked to come back the next day. Larry immediately got the finance guy involved as soon as we got back to the showroom...the finance guy asked whether I was more concerned about cost and duration of the loan or the amount of the monthly payment (that was a first). I said, I'd rather pay less in a shorter time. He gave me an offer from Ford and another lender (so I had options). I went with Ford. I signed the papers, and drove off ecstatic that night! I would absolutely recommend Crossroads Ford and Larry Curtisford to anyone interested in a new car purchase. They have completed changed my mind about car shopping. It can indeed be a wonderful experience! I've had my Fusion for 9 months and I still pinch myself at my good fortune. I've had many compliments and of course always credit Crossroads Ford and Larry. And, Larry has even checked in with me a few times since my purchase...now THAT's customer service! More

After searching the Web one night I realized that I had not checked out our favorite Fords yet--so went to the Crossroads Ford website. It was amazing! I found an excellent buy on a late-model Toyota Corolla, so I called and talked to a manager. He took the time to go check the lot to see if the car had been sold. It was still on the lot, so we set up an appointment for the next day. I couldn't wait for my daughter to see it! Next morning the manager met my husband, daughter and me at the door and introduced us to Larry Curtisford, a young salesman who wasn't the least bit intimidated when we all had on Cowboys shirts. He had the car clean and ready to go on a test drive. The Toyota handled well, was really solid on turns, and had good visibility. My daughter wanted a stick, and I wasn't sure how I would be on the clutch, since it had been many years ago when I'd taught all four of our kids how to drive my Volkswagen Beetle, but with Mr. Curtisford's quiet encouragement, it all came back. Back at the dealership (which is a spectacular indoor showroom, all shiny and bright with many lights), we sealed the deal. Larry Curtisford was friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant; he sat with us at the table and handled the paperwork efficiently. I would recommend Larry to anyone who is considering purchasing a car. After all, he bears the name of Ford (Curtisford) proudly! More

Working with Craig was wonderful. I typically dread walking into a car dealership, but he made the entire process painless and pleasant. He is extremely accommodating, patiently answers questions and walking into a car dealership, but he made the entire process painless and pleasant. It was a pleasure to do business with Michael Ketter and the good folks at Crossroads Ford. I began my search on the internet and eventually found Michael. Excellent experience from start to finish. The price of the vehicle was fair. All the employees were very nice. The sales manager Derek went the extra mile. I have traditionally been a person who thought of buying a car as akin to contracting the plague: an experience to be avoided at all costs. Why? Because, in all honesty, I've always hated car salesman with their annoying, condescending attitude, lack of honesty, and high pressure approach. Thus, I have regularly driven every car I've ever had "into the ground" in an effort to avoid dealing with the salesmen. However, my recent experience at Crossroads Ford has changed how I feel entirely. Craig Maxa, my Crossroads salesperson, was the complete opposite of all the salesmen from the past. He treated me with respect, was honest, was low-key and low-pressure in his approach. All in all, Craig made the experience not only positive from the standpoint of working a very satisfactory deal out for me but he also made the experience pleasant enough that I can see myself willingly buying another car from him in the future. As a result, I have shared my experience with everyone that has stopped to admire my new car and I have passed Craig's name on to friends and relatives without the slightest hesistation. Craig is a very different car salesman and one whom I hope is setting a "new norm." More
