Clutch burnt out after 9,500 miles!! I took my 2012 Versa in to Crown Nissan for service in March 2013 because there were problems with the clutch. No repair necessary, I was told. Now, I took my 2012 Versa in to Crown Nissan for service in March 2013 because there were problems with the clutch. No repair necessary, I was told. Now, at 9500 miles (1/2 the MINIMUM life expectancy of the clutch) the clutch is burnt out, the car is out of warranty, and Nissan wants me to pay for the clutch replacement - $2200! I talked with Lauren at consumer affairs, and she apologized that the problem wasn't caught in 2013. Doesn't that admit they SHOULD have caught it? The darned clutch was clearly defective, if it didn't last more than 9,500 miles. Lauren also suggested that I should have taken it to another Nissan dealership for a second opinion. Right, don't ever trust what your certified Nissan repair people tell you! Ugh. More
