The first issue was on leaving the dealership, wherein there was a loud buzz, like a kazoo. It ended up being a windshield gasket. Also noticed a deep but short gouge on the dash plexiglass, but just let it ride to try to be easy to work with. The gasket was to be replaced during a scheduled aftermarket installation. The gasket was replaced, and the vehicle kept for an additional day and a half to just to calibrate the windshield camera. It never went in for calibration; a dealer driver drove the vehicle 45 miles to return it, but never paid attention to the flashing warning light. Now it’s going back into service; I can take it to my local Nissan (who said the calibration will take “several hours,” and have made it apparent they avoid warranty work), or going back to Crown (a 90-mile round trip and another day of my life gone). Regarding the after market hood decal installation, the truck came back with several small and three big scrapes across the hood decal. A soft cloth, water, and a little bit of effort got all but one out. Scratches are going to happen, but they shouldn’t come from the dealer on a brand new truck. I’m getting ready to go to another dealer in less than an hour to get the windshield camera calibrated again, which I’m sure will be another exercise in frustration. The whole thing has been a solid reminder why I abhor and avoid buying new vehicles. I’m working my way toward four remediation attempts so I can return it under Illinois’s lemon law. More
I took my Nissan for a service appointment & tire rotation. The service dept, started right away on my car & I was very surprised that I didn’t have a long wait until all work was complete. They were rotation. The service dept, started right away on my car & I was very surprised that I didn’t have a long wait until all work was complete. They were also very courteous. More
