Some years ago, I chose another Mazda dealer instead of this one because a salesman at Culver City tried to grossly overcharge me on an accessory I priced before signing. Even with a scheduled appointment, I was told to wait by my car and was left to wait over 20 minutes to talk to anyone. I could see service workers milling around without talking to me. I eventually approached one of the workers outside to remind them that I was waiting, and no one had spoken with me yet. The entire time I was the only customer visible in the area, and I could see a few people working at their service desks not acknowledging me through the window. There was no urgency whatsoever. To say I was not impressed is an understatement. I would think that in this time of uncertainty customer support would be higher than ever. There was also some red flags on the vehicle "report card" that makes me think they did not do a thorough check as well. I don't think I will be coming back to get service here unless I really have to in the future. More

I arrived at 10:30am for my 10:40am appointment to have an oil change and wheel rotation service performed on my 2008 Mazda Miata. I had a discount coupon for the service. I specifically asked for synthe an oil change and wheel rotation service performed on my 2008 Mazda Miata. I had a discount coupon for the service. I specifically asked for synthetic oil. Manny Salinas wrote up my ticket and advised that they were backed up and it would take about 3 hours and offered a ride home.. I chose to wait. Later he advised me that it would take 4 hours. On my ticket which was later emailed to me, it said nothing about synthetic oil. When I questioned this, Manny said they were using synthetic oil. I am not sure if they rotated my wheels. They included a complete car inspection. At a little after 3pm, Manny informed me that my car was ready. He said everything checked out fine. This confused me because on my prior visit to this dealership, they told me that I needed to replace my struts/shocks because they were leaking. I decided to wait because of the cost. They also informed me that my clutch needed replacement. Hence, my confusion. Either they lied to me on my first visit or they didn’t do a complete car inspection on this visit. Also, a courtesy wash is normally included but they skipped this on my car. It was dusty and covered with fingerprint smudges. I had the feeling that they were rushing to get me out of there, perhaps because I am handicapped. All in all, it was not a pleasant or memorable experience. More
