There is nothing I can do or say right now to change this situation in your eyes. I am truly sorry that you lost your brother and your father lost his son. Steve Meliti told me you had called and had to sell a car and explained the circumstance. You have been purchasing cars from Steve Meliti and your husband has known him since they were in their teens. We truly believed there was a trust factor between Steve Meliti and your family. When your husband felt that your brother's car was worth a higher price, Steve asked him if he felt that way to please solicit another price because of Steve's concern of your husband's perception of the transaction, we were not trying to have him sell us the car that day. It is unfair to accuse us of trying to take advantage of your father during this time and the decision to only have one face, Steve Meliti's face, deal with your husband and father was done out of respect for your family, not lack of it. We didn't feel it would be right to come and sit down and negotiate with your father during this extremely difficult time as it is uncomfortable for anyone to discuss. From your post it would seem your father or husband took that as an insult and for that I am sorry. We never meant to cause your family any more grief. Today I had Steve call your husband to say I would put the car out to bid and if I got a higher figure than what we valued the vehicle for, I would give that difference to your father. Vehicle values are estimations or opinions and they change from person to person. Please remember that just because you didn't get the figure you believed the car was worth that doesn't mean we didn't try and help, I just really wish you could believe that. The people you mention in your post took your comments very personally as they were quite hurtful. As I mentioned, I had Steve contact your husband to say I would put the car up for bid and if there was any additional money to be had I would give your father the difference, since different opinions bring different values. That does not appear to be an option you were comfortable with. We are truly sorry that you have lost your brother and your father has lost his son.Your family has been purchasing cars from Steve Meliti for years and your husband has known Steve since they were in their teens. Based on that, we believed a certain level of trust and respect was already established. When your husband and father brought the vehicle in for appraisal, your husband felt that the car was worth more than we believed it was. Steve Meliti had asked your husband that if he felt that way, please solicit another price or two from area dealers and if our price was the highest come back to us and we will buy the car. Steve was concerned about your husband's perception of the transaction and we were trying to not have him sell us the car that day. After the discussion and deliberation your decision ultimately was to sell us the car. Due to the sensitive nature, we decided it would be in the best interest of everyone to have only one person, Steve Meliti, deal with your husband and father and not involve a manager in the transaction. This was done with respect for your family, not lack of it. We didn't feel it would be right to sit down and negotiate with your father during this extremely difficult time, so we gave our best price. From your post it would seem your father or husband took that as an insult and for that I am sorry. We never meant to cause your family any more grief. Steve Patrikios, the manager randomly selected in the post would not have been the person involved in this transaction so the disparaging remark made about him was unfair and unnecessary . Last week I had Steve Meliti call you to say we would put the car in a bid sale and if we were able to get more money for the car we would give that to your father. That offer never received a response. Even so, we didn't want to keep the car so we put it in a bid sale and did receive more money. Steve Meliti was able to speak to you about the extra $750 we received for the car and offered that money to you but you declined, which is certainly your right. Again, we regret any ill feelings you currently have, we had always done this with the best of intentions Our offer to your family for the difference still stands.

Only after this negative review was posted did Curry repond and offer a little more money.They offered an emailed picture of the check , which they would mail only if the review was removed. Very poor business.
