We have been longtime customers at Darcars Jeep, having leased multiple vehicles from them over the years. While we were initially pleased with the staff’s apparent friendliness, our most recent interactions have involved misleading information, unfulfilled promises, and pressure to leave positive reviews in exchange for incentives. Notably, a sales manager urged us to post a favorable review in return for receiving something extra with our previous lease. This practice casts doubt on the authenticity of the dealership’s high ratings. Most concerning is the pattern of deceptive sales practices surrounding our leases and the DARCARS Assurance Package. We were repeatedly promised the ability to trade in our leased vehicles at any time with no out-of-pocket cost and a guaranteed above-market trade-in value, yet when trying to exercise these benefits, we faced resistance, undisclosed fees, and a lack of transparency from the dealership. Attempts to resolve these issues led to delays, shifting explanations, and little accountability from management. In light of these issues, we have filed a formal complaint with the Maryland Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. Our complaint details the misleading sales tactics, undisclosed add-on fees, and failure to honor the very assurances that influenced our decision to lease with Darcars Jeep Rockville. It’s worth noting that our experience mirrors the broader pattern of misconduct that resulted in a major lawsuit and $3 million settlement against Darcars of Bowie, Inc. The Attorney General’s action against the Bowie dealership was prompted by widespread complaints of hidden “sales commission” fees, misrepresented add-ons such as the Assurance Package, and failure to disclose terms to consumers—a pattern we, too, have encountered in Rockville. Instead of feeling valued as repeat customers, we now feel deceived and ignored by assurances that were never honored and by a process that lacked transparency and integrity. We cannot recommend Darcars Jeep to anyone seeking a trustworthy or honest dealership. If you are considering doing business here, proceed with caution: insist on every promise in writing, scrutinize all add-ons, and be prepared for the possibility that even written assurances may not be honored. I truly recommend Darcars Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Rockville. My saleswoman Crystal was very helpful in finding me a Jeep Wrangler with all the specific upgrades I wanted. The manager, Layla, was very efficient and AMAZING at her job. She was extremely accommodating and well spoken. The finance guy, Ali, was also great. He walked us through everything and made sure we understood everything thoroughly. They have an amazing staff and I will definitely continue going to DARCARS of Rockville for all my car needs. More
Worst dealership I ever dealt with. I am 82 years old and currently own 5 cars so I have dealt with a lot of dealers over the years. I looked at a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica listed at $33 I am 82 years old and currently own 5 cars so I have dealt with a lot of dealers over the years. I looked at a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica listed at $33,435 on their lot in I offered $30K. They came down to $32,249 (3.5%). I increased my offer by 3.5% to $31.065. Then they Raised their price to more than $34,000. When it did not sell they moved it to another lot in Fairfax at the same price. Finally they called me and said they would agree to come back down to $32,249. I offered $32,000 and thought we were close to a deal. Then they said it would come to more than $36 ,000 after including certain mandatory fees, which they have to include. I said that seemed like a lot of extra fees, and I asked what they were. They told me that in addition to tax and licensing there was a "dealer fee" of around $1,000. I asked them what the fee included and they said it was the use of their computer program assembling the fees, or something like that. I said I wasn't going to pay their "dealer fee". This is price gouging pure and simple. I wonder how many other buyers have been coerced into paying this "dealer fee"? More
They put my trust back in dealerships in a time that I was really getting fed up with trying to purchase a new car post Covid. Met with Mo, he was really responsive and kind. Shared stories and worked up a deal that I went through on just 2 days later. ZERO PRESSURE which was good cause im a hot head and get upset quick. Layla who I think was the sales manager was compassionate and easy to work with. I didn't feel cornered, I felt if I had a voice. I actually ended up messing up the numbers put the deal still worked out and they helped me figure things out. I can't speak for other team members here but Mo and Layla were Gems. More
