I did a lot of homework on the car I wanted, continuously checking all the Lexus dealership websites and car-purchase apps, so when Jake reached out with my exact car at a great price, I didn’t hesitate. I had been in the market for a couple of months and had lost out a few times. That is the nature of buying pre-owned. I found it best to set my budget, a budget that took into consideration the dealership profitability. I discovered that dealerships basically do the same thing, having lost out on a car for as little as $500 difference between what I was offering and what they were asking. I also discovered that people like Jake, Maurine and T.J. work incredibly hard, with long hours in what is a volume business. I read some reviews that named Jake that I do not agree with, but having worked in high pressure sales myself, I can tell you he does an excellent job for the environment he is in. For example, I let all the dealerships in my area know what I was looking for, and only Jake stayed in front of me. He wanted my business! It’s always good to work with someone who feels that way.
