Fantastic Experience! Yesterday I went to Darlings in Ellsworth to look at vehicles. While walking in the parking lot I wasn't sure there would be anything I wanted to drive. Then Nick Smith came out and greeted us (my fiance and I). He got someone to look at my old car for trade in value and asked questions about what I was looking for. The first car he brought up for me to drive (2013 Malibu) ended up being the one I got (although I did drive one other there and then one at a different dealership). The atmosphere in the show room/office was very friendly and inviting. The office was private and we never felt like we were being "sold" something. He made every effort to EARN my business. Andy in financing was also great. From beginning to end the people at Darlings in Ellsworth ME made what could have been a stressful aggravating process very easy and enjoyable. The service we experienced was well worth the 2 45 minute drives in the pooring rain. I work as a manager in retail so I very much appreciate good service. If you are looking for a vehicle, I strongly recommend you give them a call and try them first. I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will use them again for future purchases. More

Best first time buying experience! I was very skeptical going in to a dealership to purchase my first vehicle because of all of the stress I had heard comes along with buying a vehicle. I was very skeptical going in to a dealership to purchase my first vehicle because of all of the stress I had heard comes along with buying a vehicle. After shopping around at a few different dealerships, I could not have been happier with my choice to do my business through Darlings Chevrolet in Ellsworth. I didn't feel any pressure to look at vehicles I wasn't interested in or vehicles out of my price range. Nick Smith was very helpful, professional, easy going, and answered all of my questions promptly. All of my expectations were more then met. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and the service was exceptional. I feel as though I didn't just purchase a car but a lifelong service as well. I am beyond happy I chose this dealership to begin with. My dealer was great, to this day, I still get a check in from them. Also happy face when I stop in to visit. Great customer service! It took me months to finally settle on a car and PJ Davis wo Darlings Auto Mall has one of the best salesman by far in my experiences of buying cars. It took me months to finally settle on a car and PJ Davis worked with me to get me into a car with a payment I could afford. Not only did he do that but him as well as the other staff made me feel very important and cared for when I went in to sign papers and pick it up. I will recommend this dealership to my friends when they are in the are in the business of buying a car. More

I was taken to the Darlings Ellsworth Chevrolet dealership. Talking with Mike in the Service dept and Katelyn in rental, I was out the door and back to vacation mode within an hour. Mike was able to get my car into the garage to be looked at and worked on that afternoon. He contacted me promptly on Monday morning, and I had my car back that afternoon. Thanks to the staff of Darling's Chevrolet Ellsworth for helping make our trip to coastal Maine, less stressful. More
Terrible customer service! I have used this dealership for purchasing and servicing my vehicles for the last 15 years. The service has always been outstanding. Unfortunately, th I have used this dealership for purchasing and servicing my vehicles for the last 15 years. The service has always been outstanding. Unfortunately, this last time was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. My 2011 Chevrolet Traverse has 2 recalls on it and I am actually dreading when I have to bring it in for that work. They had my car all day from 7am to 4:30pm for a simple oil change, nitrogen service, and putting a plug in a tire. I called at 3pm for a status on my car and Sherry said it was almost ready and she was sending the car over to my work to pick me up. I specifically told her that I did not have time to wait around for my car and I had to get right back to work. My car was not ready and after waiting over half an hour for it I told her I had to get back to work. They did tell me they would deliver my vehicle to me, so I was thankful for that. When I got my car I found the oil percentage had not been reset, and also the tire pressure in my tires have been fluctuating so I am hoping the oil and nitrogen services got done. I am sure they probably did, and these are really minor aggravations and I would not normally complain about this type of stuff because, hey it's life and it happens. What happened when my car got dropped off was what upset me the most. Kip was the person who gave me a ride to work in the morning and he was very nice, very professional, no complaints whatsoever. However Leroy is the one that gave me a ride back to work that afternoon. I specifically told Leroy that he did not need to bring my keys into my work, he could just drop my vehicle off and go, leave the keys in it. He needed a signature from me so he had to come into my work, which was fine obviously, but he also brings his Bike Maine magazine with him and proceeds to show me this magazine, not only do I not care but I am at work! He also told me he would give me a ride on his motorcycle and I could give him my number and proceeds to ask if I have boyfriend. I find this extremely unprofessional, and especially after I told him I was busy at my work and that he could just leave the keys in my car and not come in! I would think he would have realized at that point I had zero interest in him or his motorcycle. He was at my work so long that Kip actually had to come in to get him! Whenever I make an appointment now I guess I will have to make sure Kip is the driver for the day. More
