Exceptional I dreaded approaching a dealership. If there was a way to self serve test driving a car from a vending machine, I would rather do that than go throug I dreaded approaching a dealership. If there was a way to self serve test driving a car from a vending machine, I would rather do that than go through the cliche dealership process. My last car buying experience was 5 years ago and I suffered the traditional garbage: the salesman wanted to ride with me during the test drive, he hassled me about what payment I wanted to slide into, the sales manager had my keys so I could not leave. I was referred to Joe Pelletier by a customer of mine who is his former coworker. Joe was friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. I could tell through our interaction that he is fully engaged in his profession: he listened to what I was saying and made genuine recommendations, he has a great attitude, and he respected my needs. He was patient as I drove four different versions of the car I had researched endlessly on-line. Although I left disappointed in the product, I returned again and left with exactly what I want. We negotiated price by email and when I returned, the closing process took approximately one hour. I appreciate that Joe and the finance person acted with a sense of urgency to process my paperwork. It again affirmed the feeling of being treated with respect. I work in sales and customer service. There are far too few experiences today where I walk away feeling that I was treated as well as I treat my customers. It was refreshing to work with Joe. On a final note, I would like to add that I appreciate the generosity of the Darling's family in our community. I attend many events, some small like a spaghetti dinner to support a local family, some large like the Bangor Y Gala. Darling's has a presence everywhere. They help to make our region a better place to live. More

Joe Pelletier assisted me through the buying process and it is clear that he cares about providing a positive, fair and comfortable experience. He was well educated regarding the vehicle and I never felt pressured to make a decision. Lee Lorigan in the finance department made finalizing the process quick and easy to understand. The dealership itself is well maintained, professional and the staff was always welcoming. Thank you, Darlings! I am fully enjoying my new vehicle and will definitely return for any future needs. The service department team was outstanding.....they did not make me wait (took my car in as soon as I arrived), pleasant, really listened to my wants and needs, I did not have to wait long for my car to be serviced, reviewed everything with me once my car was done and THEY EVEN WASHED MY VEHICLE. I'm in customer service (at my employment) so I know how important customer service is to every individual. A smile and going the extra mile to make the customer happy is a big plus for me and they did just that.....thank you Darlings!!! As long as I continue to get great service, I will continue to buy my vehicles there!!! More

Lot of Work I came in with a lot of work that needed to be done to my car. I am a college student with a busy schedule and, as you might imagine, very little time I came in with a lot of work that needed to be done to my car. I am a college student with a busy schedule and, as you might imagine, very little time to deal with car issues. Darlings was able to schedule my vehicle for the work that needed to be done and gave me a reasonable estimate on pricing as well as time. Unfortunately, the time needed to fix my car was more than a couple of hours but luckily, Darlings has a wonderful complimentary shuttle service that could bring me back to campus. While my car was in the shop, Tim- the Volvo serviceman- kept me up to speed with everything that they were doing to my car. A couple of things came up that the dealership did not anticipate, but Tim was very good with coming up with solutions that would both greatly benefit the "health" of my car as well as not hurt my wallet too badly. Overall, the service I received was top notch. I trust my car to this dealership and feel very confident that I am not getting ripped off. I keep going back because I love the service I get when I bring my car in. More

Happy Travels During a routine maintenance visit, a leak in the oil pan was discovered. As my husband had indicated that we were going out of state for a few days a During a routine maintenance visit, a leak in the oil pan was discovered. As my husband had indicated that we were going out of state for a few days and as Darlings did not have a pan in stock for our vehicle, they made a phone call and was able to get the replacement needed within an hour. Darlings made it happen! More
