Unfortunately I live on a dirt road with a major hill involved. I found an immaculate used 2012 Honda Crosstour at Darlings. I love my car, the ride is awesome and do not expect any difficulties with the winter drive as it is 4WD. And both my sons think its "mint"! Fantastic customer service! I started my search for my first lease vehicle online, looking at several vehicles and dealerships in Brewer and Bangor. Joel Nye responded to my inqu I started my search for my first lease vehicle online, looking at several vehicles and dealerships in Brewer and Bangor. Joel Nye responded to my inquiry almost immediately and quickly responded to every question I had over the next several days, even outside of regular work hours. This was much appreciated as we had to travel over 2hrs to get to the Bangor and I wanted as many questions answered ahead of time as possible. When my husband and I arrived at the dealership we met with a very friendly Wayne Dyment. He pulled around the Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV that we had requested. He went over each vehicle with us before we took our test drives and answered all our questions. We decided to go to lunch to mull over which vehicle appealed to us more, including the Toyota Rav4 we had looked at first. It was a tough decision since they were all similar vehicles with very similar options, but for me it came down to the Honda CR-V or the Toyota Rav4. I liked driving them both and was having a hard time deciding. I was leaning toward the Toyota Rav4 due to the lease price difference. We had just missed the last Honda CRV lease deal by two days and the price had jumped up $50 per month, which was $60 above the Rav4. I texted back and forth with Wayne during lunch to discuss our ambivalence. .He spoke with his sales manager and they got the price down to a level we could agree to. We headed back to the dealership after lunch to sign all the necessary paperwork. As always, the paperwork when buying or leasing a vehicle took quite a while, but Wayne as well as Lee Lorigan did a fantastic job and made it seem like less time than had actually passed. By late afternoon, I was driving home in a gorgeous 2015 Honda CR-V, my very first lease and the first brand new car I've had. I'm thankful to the Darling's staff that made it an enjoyable experience! More

Perfect service! I have been looking for a new vehicle for over a month. I was in a rental from Darlings and my own car wasn't drivable. As I inquired about different I have been looking for a new vehicle for over a month. I was in a rental from Darlings and my own car wasn't drivable. As I inquired about different cars, not knowing exactly what I wanted, each dealership began to bombard my emails and voicemail. When I would go into a dealership I felt like I was being attacked by salesmen who just wanted my money. Darlings respectfully did not overdo it in any of these aspects. I was able to take my time and call them looking for the right car. I dealt with Joel on the phone when I was interested in a car from another lot. He throughly explained the process and helped me understand what to expect when I came in the next day. I came in and worked with Bryan L. I was worried that I would be pressured into something I didn't want or need. That was not the case here. Bryan helped me discover what I would need and what would be most practical. Trading in my car and returning my rental was an easy process. I actually enjoyed this whole interaction from beginning to end and, because of the great customer service via telephone (Joel) and in person (Bryan L.) I knew I definitely wanted to buy a car here over the other places. Mike W. worked hard to get me an awesome interest rate that I didn't think was possible. Every person I met was nice and genuine which, I've found, is hard to come by when looking for a car. I left in a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L and I couldn't be happier! I will always recommend this team! We had looked at a few before we were approached by Gary McGowan. Had he not been so friendly, laid back and not your 'typical' car salesperson, we'd have just left. Instead, we got a genuine guy who gave us a ton of his time along with patience, good conversation, and best of all, no pressure. Negotiations were quick and painless. We got a fair trade on our vehicle. Even Lee in finance made the awful paperwork process fun, The entire process from start to finish was super positive, and we drove away with a beautiful 2015 Honda CR-V. My husband and I would definitely deal with Darling's again and recommend them (Gary, especially!) to anyone on the market for a new vehicle. More
