Was looking for a new car, ended up buying new My wife and I were looking for a used car....something with 4 doors, and good on gas. We searched the internet (craig's list, and uncle henry's) and m My wife and I were looking for a used car....something with 4 doors, and good on gas. We searched the internet (craig's list, and uncle henry's) and made a few phone calls, and went to a few houses. There are good deals on-line, but found something was wrong with the cars. They had rebuilt titles, so they were hit, and repaired. We looked at one car, and found out it was hit and repaired 3 times!!! Also looked at used cars at several dealers, to get anything with low miles was 14 to 16K. It was the end of the day and we went to Darlings Nissan in Bangor, and talked to Scott Larrabee. He was great, we test drove a new Nissan Versa, and liked it. The Versa was a great buy at 13k, and it was a new car with no problems, great gas mileage (41 mpg), and will not need any major maintenance for a long time. It had more leg room than the Toyota Corolla. Scott gave me some final numbers, and I told him what I wanted to spend, and he went out to David Noto (manager). David was able to crunch some numbers, and get me out the door for 13k!!! It was amazing, we made a deal in less than 10 minutes. So why waste your time looking at used cars, when you can buy a new one with Scott, (he was very straight forward, and honest). For less than the price of a used car we were able to buy new, and have the peace of mind, knowing it was going to be reliable, and not break down. Great personality, able to explain all features and details of the new vehicle. Sister walked away with a very beautiful lease on a new Honda Accord Sport. Checked out two other local dealerships first, (Varney GMC, Quirk Chevy) and was immediately accosted by a hoard of salesmen, totally off putting when just looking. (Now I know why more people look in Sunday.) Brian approached us just when we needed him, and not in a creepy way either (at both aforementioned places, the salesmen literally slithered through the vehicles).
