We put money down, but since we are trying to fix our credit, we did not get that good of a rate. Jarrod worked with us to get us to the payment we wanted. We will be returning to trade in another car for a lease within the next six months. More
Poor Customer Service 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡First off, I went to Dave Hallman’s dealership about three months ago. My Chrysler Aspen has less than 40,000 miles on 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡First off, I went to Dave Hallman’s dealership about three months ago. My Chrysler Aspen has less than 40,000 miles on and I needed an SUV ASAP. I went to them and asked if they could get my desired 2015 Chevy Suburban from the New Castle dealership, he proceeded to tell me they can’t because that would involve another dealership and it would make it harder for me to get. He decides to continue to try to sell me a Tahoe. I am furious now, so I leave the dealership and drive to New Castle to Preston GM Superstore. I was able to purchase the truck I wanted. Fast forward to today. Now I have a certified preowned used car. Dave Hallman’s begins to tell me that I don’t have a certified used car and I also don’t have a warranty. I call my dealership in New Castle and he spoke with the gentleman that was helping me. The gentleman took my phone to the warranty specialist were he hung up on my dealer and tell the gentleman to tell me that I would have to pay $54 for my oil change. Im like no, I’m not doing that. He said you can pay and then Preston Superstore reimburse you. Dave Hallman’s were out to get my money. They don’t care about your warranties. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. IF I COULD THEY WOULDN’T GET A STAR OUT OF ME. xxxx POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL DRIVE 25 miles TO GO TO A DEALERSHIP THAT VALUES ME AS A CUSTOMER. GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU WERE INFORMED. Never, ever again, and Chevrolet disappoints me also - After a horrendous encounter with the service department at Hallman Chevrolet, which I still have terrible dreams about, and cannot get out of my head After a horrendous encounter with the service department at Hallman Chevrolet, which I still have terrible dreams about, and cannot get out of my head, as the service rep jeopardized the life of my 9 month pregnant daughter and 3 grand children, along with whomever else may have been involved in a potential accident , I still reflect on the disappointing results of my reporting this dealership to Chevrolet . Since this vehicle was owned by my daughter, and I was simply paying for it, arranging it, as she is a physician, taking care of 3 toddlers under 5, and pregnant with another, I could not really fight to right this wrong very easily, as my report the Better Business Bureau , Chevrolet, and any other agency was either prevented by me, as a non owner, or hobbled terribly, in my inability to get the signatures and information in a timely and practical manner. However, the least I can do now, is to try my best to alert the public, to what I consider very dishonest and dangerous practices that I fell victim to. I realize there are a lot of just disgruntled people that write bad reviews, for many reasons, but I have put a lot of time and effort into this quest and mission, to try to help prevent what happened to me , from happening to anyone else. I plainly would never, ever recommend dealing with this business. It just is so irritating to see a business thrive, simply because there is just so much demand that they can lie and do anything they want, with impunity. Please be careful people ! More

After having a part break TWICE, I was "finally" told it had NOT been a brand new part they put on my vehicle in the first place. They replaced it..once and then twice and then told it would not be the third time. It quit after just a few months...both times. I have an extended warranty on this vehicle, yes, bought from Hallmans. I was NEVER told the part they put on it in the beginning was NOT a new part. More
Very questionable practices ---- Upon moving back north from living in North Carolina for over 3 years, I immediately intervened to help our daughter have her 2014 Suburban inspected Upon moving back north from living in North Carolina for over 3 years, I immediately intervened to help our daughter have her 2014 Suburban inspected and maintained. The vehicle has never towed anything, she uses it to take kids to school, go to work, simple usage. Upon calling for an oil change, inspection, and tire rotation , we dropped off the vehicle , and was immediately advised by Rick in service that at 45,000 miles, a complete flushing and changing of fluids would be highly recommended for the safety of my 9 months pregnant daughter and the 3 kids under 5, as the vehicle would be unsafe otherwise. I was aghast, we were there just before closing, the grand kids were in my vehicle outside waiting impatiently, our daughter was very tired - many circumstances which caused me to finally concede and allow this to be done. I tried calling back as soon as we left, to rescind the extra work orders , to be told Rick had left, would be back at 7:30 am. I called at 7:30, and every 5 minutes, leaving a message the first time. I finally reached Rick at 8:05 , to be told the mechanics were already almost done with it, fluids were drained, and he never got a message. I called the original Chevrolet dealership, my own locally, where I have dealt for decades - and others, and they all corroborated my suspicion that most of this work was totally unneeded at this mileage. After calling for hours to reach the service manager, Gene, he essentially stated that it was not such a bad idea, it should have been done, and justified it using examples of vehicles that had failed for one reason or another - extreme conditions, usage, etc - irrelevant in my case. Rick looked up the vehicle on the computer, our daughter's father in law purchased an extended warranty for around $2400.00 upon purchase, - he never found that nor the covered services (oil change and rotation) which he also charged us for. In my opinion, this constitutes dishonest practices, taking advantage of lay consumers that place their trust in trained people that we depend on for the safety of our vehicles - so we are very vulnerable in instances such as this. Shame on Hallman Chevrolet and staff. I will seek redress as possible via other avenues. More
