Bought a vehicle from Dave Smith in 2017, get a call while in for oil change that my vehicle needed lug nuts for 57 and some change due to someone wrenching on them to much and lug caps are rounded out. while in for oil change that my vehicle needed lug nuts for 57 and some change due to someone wrenching on them to much and lug caps are rounded out. Well, There dealership is the only ones that have ever removed the caps so I find that kinda interesting. So while in there talking to the sales lady, she explained that they are after market lug nuts they replaced them with....ok cool and I walked out the door. After reading over the invoice, they only replaced 5 of them at 11 something apiece. Since when does aftermarket lugs nuts cost 11 dollars apiece. I thought for 57 , they would all be replaced. Sounds like a scam. More
Failed to refund warranty I cancelled the extended Warranty through Matt Huffnagel on 12/30/19 within the 30 day time period and was entitled to a full refund as per NYS law. I cancelled the extended Warranty through Matt Huffnagel on 12/30/19 within the 30 day time period and was entitled to a full refund as per NYS law. As of yet I have not received the refund, I have an audio recording of Matt Huffnagel promisong the refund within 30 days. I have an audio recording of this Huffnagel promising this. During that conversation he also stated the warranty center was closed (it was a Monday at 11"15 a.m. when I mentioned this he changed his story to his only contact there was off that day. I also have this, among other things, recorded. Follow up phone calls were ignored. I have filed a complaint with NYS Consumer Affairs and they are following up. More
First off if I could have given 0 stars I would have. Went into dealership to purchase a truck that was online. First impressions are always everything! I should have walked away at that point. When at t Went into dealership to purchase a truck that was online. First impressions are always everything! I should have walked away at that point. When at the dealership I was not greeted professionally at any time from anyone at the dealership. I told salesman where I needed to be and that’s when the fun started. Still to this day I have never met or had the chance to communicate with a manager of any sort. I came in to buy this truck and went out of my way at each fork in the road to pick it up. Salesman texts me days and days later asking what they can do to get me in the truck. Then insults me with a payment $5 less than one I never agreed to. Ive purchased and owned many vehicles and just can’t understand how and why this happens. So in a nutshell. Rating the service is a clear “0” rating management I’ve never met another “0” the entire process still a “0” The sad fact is we purchased a vehicle here once and had same experience. We live less than a mile away and was hoping to give them another chance. I did give upper management feedback and it seems as if no one cares. Sorry about the long review but there is too much to say... BEWARE... More
They Destroyed My Beloved Mustang! Bought my very first car here. A 2013 Grabber Blue Mustang. Had it serviced recently multiple times for multiple leaks that kept occurring. Well on Oc Bought my very first car here. A 2013 Grabber Blue Mustang. Had it serviced recently multiple times for multiple leaks that kept occurring. Well on October 11th, 2019 my mustang started on fire and is a complete and total loss. I am completely appalled at the negligence of the service department. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life. My pride, my joy, I worked hard to get this car and made it so unique and now it's completely gone because of what I thought was a reputable dealership. I wish I had bought my 2018 Mustang elsewhere because I will constantly worry about issues in the future since I had it serviced there as well. Also, when confronting service advisors, they are very rude and not helpful or sympathetic. This is something that I'll never get over or ever forget. I'm severely broken and can't stop crying and this dealership is basically laughing at me. More
Interested in vehicle Reached out to Dave Smith Ford via internet and did not get a follow up for several days later telling me the vehicle I was looking for was in transit Reached out to Dave Smith Ford via internet and did not get a follow up for several days later telling me the vehicle I was looking for was in transit. When the vehicle finally got there instead of the sales person following up with me I had a friend tell me that the vehicle I was looking for was on the lot. All in all went here they truly undervalued my trade by approx $10k and tried to us a state tax law as a incentive not to take my vehicle else we’re to sell. That to me is a horrible sales practice. I will be going elsewhere to do business More

They made the buying process as difficult as I can imagine it being. They were late paying off my bank AND paid them the wrong amount. So I'm left dealing with my old bank to close out the old loan. They keep sending me little bills for this and that. It really feels like I'm dealing with one of those corner used car snake oil salesmen. Also, it's been over 2 months and I have not received my registration from the DMV, no doubt because they sent that paperwork in late as well. No matter how much you like a car/truck there, it's not worth it - just go somewhere else. More

We had gone to another dealership last time and, although it wasn’t a bad experience, the feeling was just not the same. This is the third car we have leased from Dave Smith and we have had absolutely no complaints about anything, from service to sales. Jadon Bennet could not have been nicer or more thorough in his explanations, and Matt Hufnagel went above and beyond for us. We would highly recommend this dealership! More
Car is still not cleaned At the time, when purchasing a used car, I was told each car is detailed. Two days later upon arrival that was not done. I have been back twice after At the time, when purchasing a used car, I was told each car is detailed. Two days later upon arrival that was not done. I have been back twice after being promised by the salesman, only to be told the detailer leave work at 2pm on Fridays! I was there at 9am. I understand sales are the only bottom line with dealers but come on. I didn't trade in a dirty car! I am making it a point to let others know not to EXPECT a clean car. I'm sick of being ignored and feel like I have to keep reminding the salesman to do what was supposed to have been done..I'm very disappointed how this handled. Its obvious that sales are much more important than customer service. More
Worst Service Ever!! I found it so necessary that I am going to paste my review in any area that this service center is listed. I would pick zero stars if I could. I have never had such bad service before. My car was brought there with the battery light on. Another garage told me it was the grill shutters and to bring it to a Ford dealer. Instead of checking to make sure that was the problem, they just ordered the parts for my car and I was told they would take a few days to come in. While waiting for the parts for more than a week, my horn stopped working. Then my dashboard lit up like crazy and my car broke down. I had it towed back to Dave Smith on a Tuesday, called them and informed them what happened and was told because my car was in there before I had to wait until Wednesday to talk to the person overseeing my car. I have never heard of such foolishness. Called Wednesday and was told he did not come to work so my car just sat there with nobody doing a thing with it, meanwhile I am paying for a rental. Again, never had any garage ever do this. I should have had it re-towed to West Herr or Delacy after that, but I digress. I again explained to Dolly (who was the only person there that actually took the time to listen) every code that flashed on the dash and that the horn was not working. I watched her write all of this down. Finally, on Thursday I get a call telling me it was my alternator and the parts again would be a few days out. Never experienced that with West Herr. Called them again on Monday, had to leave a voicemail for Mike because he was busy. No return call from him. I called again on Tuesday and was told my parts were there and they were just getting it in for repair. One full week of a rental car to have an alternator changed. Go to pay the bill and they never gave me my AAA discount so had to wait for him to redo everything. I was told that my original parts/grill shutters could be restocked except for one which was a plug. I was told the plug would be in my car. It was not. At this point I was WAY too annoyed to go back in and ask for it. Got home, hit the lock button on my fob and figured out they never bothered to repair the horn. I have never had such a bad experience with a Ford service station before and I have driven Fords for over 30 years. I now have to take my car in once again to have the horn repaired, but it surely will not be to Dave Smith Ford. I will take the time to go out to West Herr where I know the work will actually be completed, and in a timely fashion. More
