I have dealt with John for several years when I need service on our 1999 Cirrus. He always tells me what needs to be done and approximately what it will cost. I bought a car from David Stanley Dodge and my experience was absolutely fantastic because of Mr. Byrd. He is not the typical car salesman. I heard an add on the radio and I decided that I would stop by to check out the pickup trucks... When I got there I was impressed by the selection available and the speedy customer service. I told them that I wasn't really looking to buy but was wanting to check some out. They asked what exactly I look for in a pickup and they picked out the perfect one for me. They offered for me to go on a test ride even though I said I wasn't really looking to buy! After that I was pretty much sold. They were quick to get my paperwork ready and even lent me the truck to drive home and change out of my work clothes in while they did the appraisal on my trade in car. When I got back we worked with some numbers and I got an amazing deal on the truck I wanted... the 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 single cab. Brand new. I worked with two gentlemen, Brock and Blake. They were amazing at what they did, very kind, and knew their trade inside and out. Would recommend this dealership to friends, family, and strangers. More
Needed to purchase a Dodge Durango for my business. Only qualification was, it needed 3rd row seating, electric windows-locks, and automatic. Saw price for new Durango listed on the internet for $28,261. When I showed up at the dealership, I asked the sales person for the cheapest Durango w/ this qualification. He went away for a moment and then came back. He took me outside and proceeded to show me 2 Durango’s that were priced at $34,000. I asked him where the one that was listed on the internet was for $28,261. He had no idea what I was talking about so I showed him. I looked at the VIN# listed on the internet and found it myself. It was sitting next to the one he showed me for $34,000. We agreed on the price of $28,261 flat...cash. We then went in the finance office. My business has purchased 15 cars in the past 11 months. This guy was the rudest finance person I have ever dealt with. Even though my business was purchasing the car, he said he would not sell to me unless they did a credit check on my personal info. I was paying cash.. no need to do a credit check on me!! I really needed this car soon, so against my better judgment I let them run a credit check on me. I proceeded to finish the paper work when he handed me a "HAIL DISCLAIMER" notice and wanted me to sign it. Immediately I became concerned that the Durango I was about to purchase had hail damage. I stopped and dropped everything to go look closely at the vehicle. Sure enough, upon further inspection, the vehicle had extensive hail damage. The new car manager told me it "wasn't bad and it is only 4 spots" and he would have it fixed. It was way more than 4 spots... the Durango had well over 20 hail dings. I told him no and I would like the stop the deal and get my paper work back that I had signed. I then went to the finance manager and he refused to give me my paper work back saying he had to keep it on file for 7 years. This was very strange considering I wasn't going to purchase anything. I insisted that I get my paper work back and proceeded to call our staff attorney. I couldn't get ahold of him after several tries. I then went back to the inventory manager (which was eating openly in his office, not very professional) to see if he could do anything. He stated he wouldn't help me and became very rude stating that the finance department was separate for the inventory department. Fair enough, but he didn’t have to be so rude about it. He told me to go to the front desk and ask for the finance manager. In between the time I spoke with the finance manager, the inventory manager can to me with my file and paper work. He then led me over to a locked shredding container. As he placed it in the container, he told me only the General Manager had the key... and he dropped it in there. He did this very pompous, quick, and rudely. I then said, "Wait, I thought you had to save those documents for 7 years. If you were going to place them in the shredding container, why wouldn't you give them to me?" I didn't understand what he said as he walked away. I then spoke with the finance manager. He agreed that the situation should not have been handled that way. He stated the GM was out until Tuesday and I couldn’t get my info out of the container until then. He took my business card and told me the GM would be calling me. These people are extremely rude and difficult to deal with. I have never been treated the way I was and didn't appreciate it. Like I said before, I purchase cars all the time and I will never buy from these guys...period NEVER, even if they have the lowest price. More
