This has fallen from a 5 star review, which was based on my first experience purchasing a used Honda from Davis Honda of Burlington, NJ. Based on that first experience, I purchased another used Honda from D my first experience purchasing a used Honda from Davis Honda of Burlington, NJ. Based on that first experience, I purchased another used Honda from Davis Honda, just 3 days ago. Here's what happened. I purchased the vehicle on Friday evening. It ran fine. But on Sunday in the early afternoon, less than 48 hours later, the car would not start. It started immediately with a jump. The battery was dead. Since it ran well between Friday eve & Sunday afternoon, I suspect the charging system. I shared that info with Davis Honda, when I called on Monday morning (just a few minutes ago). I spoke with a woman who asked me about the problem. I told her, then shared with her that it was emphasized to me by the salesperson, at least 3 times, that the vehicle had gone through a 150+ point inspection. That emphasis is why I was surprised the vehicle wouldn't start only 36 hours after purchase. The woman who spoke with me from the used car department asked if I could get it back to them to be checked. I said sure. I then asked if they would have a loaner car for me in case my vehicle had to remain at their dealership for assessment & repair. She said "we do not have loaner cars for used car purchases" (not an exact quote). I shared with her that Davis Honda, had always offered me a loaner car when I left my previous used car in their shop for repair. She said that was the practice 5-6 years ago when I purchased my first used Honda from Davis. I told her that the last time that happened was only a few months ago. She said that it was no longer their policy. I would have been OK with her explanation except for her attitude & tone of voice. She was very perterbed that what I experienced with Davis Honda in the past was different than what she stated to be the "new policy." If I am treated differently, both in tone of voice, attitude & actual treatment, once I get to Davis Honda later today, I will change this review. But as of now my 1 star review stands. If Davis Honda's "policy" has truly changed, & if management is OK with their department managers (I believe the woman I spoke with told me she was a dept manager) having attitude with their customers, then I can no longer recommend Davis Honda to anyone. Find a dealership where they treat you well after you spend more than $20,000 on a car. -------- UPDATED REVIEW Davis Honda, returned to the "over & above" treatment I've come to experience from them over the past 6 years. They reached out to me; fixed the issue with my newly purchased used vehicle; provided a loaner while they took the time to look more closely at the problem to ensure it was thoroughly repaired. Special kudos to Jessica in the Davis Honda Service Department. She was professional and very kind. Davis Honda is lucky to have her. Thank you Jessica. More

The service department charged me $900 for the repair of an engine that they later told needed to needed to be completely replaced because they had misdiagnosed the actual problem - TWICE. Then the sales department lowered the original trade-in price I was quoted by $5000 because they failed to thoroughly inspect my truck or check with service before giving me a value. The only thing these guys deserve 5 stars for would be incompetence. More

Joe LaBrake and his service team are very accommodating and recently helped diagnose and correct an issue over the phone so that I didn’t have to take time out of my day to drive to the dealership.
