The Silver Lining of the whole experience was finding David Turner at Mazda of Clear Lake, someone I could trust who did not do a "bait and switch" from credit union/internet searching and who spent lots of time showing me, then my husband the car and going over all of the features. David was professional but also went above and beyond at adding a personal touch. He did not flinch at my requests or my budget and worked very hard to make my preferred vehicle happen without being pushy. The CX-9 is awesome! Everyone in the showroom was friendly and on the second visit David was mentoring a new employee, Josue, who was uber courteous and personable. I will be returning to Mazda of Clear Lake to try out the service department for regular maintenance even though it could take an hour to get there. More

The final step with, Mike McCaffrey, the sales manager went smoothly and quickly. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I spent hours brushing up on how the salesman might try to get the best of me without and how I could read between the lines and counter offer and play mind games until I drove away in my new car looking like a silver tongued veteran of negotiation tactics. It turns out that was a huge waste of time. I talked to 6 other salesmen at 4 other dealerships before I encountered this paragon of a salesman. David was kind and genuine and made sure that I comfortable the entire duration of my stay. He listened to every word and concern that I had and gave me a clear and honest answer to every question. He even answered my questions about the car controls on his day off the next following afternoon. I could not have asked for a better car buying experience and would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new Mazda. More
