He told me he could get me my money back from the unwanted and worthless Dennis Dillon App but I would need to sign a good faith agreement and pull the reviews. I refused, so the general manager Joey called and left a message and I returned the call but didn’t answer so I left a message. Since then no call back or message from them. Unbelievable. More
Horrible describes my experience and would give zero stars.. I bought a 2026 GMC 2500 Sierra AT4 at end of October. I paid cash and had no trade in, the transaction took nearly four hours and got no d stars.. I bought a 2026 GMC 2500 Sierra AT4 at end of October. I paid cash and had no trade in, the transaction took nearly four hours and got no demonstration of the vehicle. They made the whole deal exhausting by trying to sell us extras. Moving us from building to building making us sit for long unexplained times. Trying to sell all this crap we didn’t want. They pressure you then ignore you. Shawn was the worst salesperson on the planet, very unprofessional. There so many things that happened wrong during this 4 hour cluster there isn’t enough room in the review to tell all of the story. We had a meeting with Alex to try and work this bad experience out. He said he would get our money back from the Dennis Dillion app which we specifically said we didn’t want twice, it never happened. No phone calls returned. He also said Shawn was fired, nope, I went in to get something fixed still there. Lies!! Beware of these outlaws. More
I recently purchased a 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 6. 2L V8, and unfortunately the experience with Dennis Dillon GMC has been unsettling and disappointing. The process started off normally, but my frus 2L V8, and unfortunately the experience with Dennis Dillon GMC has been unsettling and disappointing. The process started off normally, but my frustrations began during financing. I have excellent credit (800+), a strong down payment, and a solid debt-to-income ratio. Despite this, I was never shown competing financing offers or told which banks provided which rates. I was only presented with financing through Frontier Credit Union. After the fact, seeing Frontier Credit Union promotional materials (“swag”) throughout the office makes it feel like customers are being steered in that direction without transparency. The most concerning issue occurred after the sale. Last week, I took my truck to a different GMC dealership for a routine oil change. During that visit, their service department informed me that there was an aftermarket GPS tracking device installed in my vehicle. I immediately unplugged and removed it. I was never informed that an aftermarket GPS tracker would be installed. During financing, I specifically asked about a GPS locator because it added cost to the vehicle. I was told it could not be removed and that it came factory-installed from GMC. That statement was false. This was not a factory device. The service advisor at the other GMC dealership told me they’ve seen these trackers installed on vehicles purchased by “high-risk” or “sketchy” customers to assist with repossession. That characterization does not apply to me in any way. I contacted Dennis Dillon GMC seeking clarification. They initially could not even locate me as a customer — despite having my phone number, name, and VIN. I was told the Service Manager, Toby, would call me back within minutes to an hour. That never happened. After calling back and insisting on speaking with someone, I eventually reached Toby, who stated he had no knowledge of the device and said it would be handled by the sales department. He assured me he would look into it. I have yet to receive a single follow-up or explanation. This experience raises serious concerns: - Installation of undisclosed aftermarket tracking equipment - Misrepresentation of that equipment as “factory installed” - Lack of financing transparency - Poor customer records and follow-up - Complete absence of accountability I was polite throughout the process and even brought Starbucks gift cards for the finance manager and salesperson. That courtesy was not reciprocated with honesty or professionalism. Buying a new truck should not leave you questioning whether you were misled or monitored without consent. I would not recommend Dennis Dillon GMC based on this experience. More
Was interested in a used Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Dealer would not provide their acceptable price in writing via email. Buyer beware of Dennis Dillon GMC in Boise Main issues at a glance * Wrong truck ordered after I flagged the trim issue * Pressured to pay more for their mistake * Pricing changed at pickup * Truck wa at a glance * Wrong truck ordered after I flagged the trim issue * Pressured to pay more for their mistake * Pricing changed at pickup * Truck was not detailed or presented professionally * Last-minute extended warranty pitch * Warranty cancellation became a weeks-long headache * Poor communication and unanswered calls and emails * Refund check sent to the wrong place and incorrect refund amount * General manager never responded Full review below I spent six months dealing with Dennis Dillon, and I truly wish I had gone anywhere else. I am not someone who leaves bad reviews, but at this point it feels irresponsible not to warn others. The truck order mistake They ordered the wrong truck. I caught the trim issue on the original order paperwork and was assured it was not the more expensive AEV package. After waiting eight weeks, selling my existing truck, and arranging travel, I later received a call confirming the truck they ordered was exactly the one I flagged at the beginning. I was told I could either wait another eight to ten weeks for the correct truck or pay more for the one they mistakenly ordered. I ended up paying more because starting over wasn't realistic. The pickup experience When I arrived to sign everything, the agreed-upon price changed in the paperwork. They eventually corrected it, but it added to the frustration. The truck itself wasn't detailed and still had suction marks and debris from the installation process. I didn't bring it up, but it was disappointing to see that level of care on a brand-new vehicle. I was also hit with a last-minute extended warranty pitch that felt completely blindsiding. I was told it would be easy to cancel. It wasn't. The extended warranty nightmare Canceling the warranty required talking to five different people, long stretches of silence, unanswered emails and calls, and a general manager who never once responded. When a refund was finally issued, the check was sent to the wrong department at the bank. The amount refunded was also less than what I paid, and I am still trying to recover the remaining balance. Neither the associate nor the general manager will return my calls or emails. The one positive interaction Sawtooth USA, the accessories department at Dennis Dillon, was the only team that treated me well. I left them a separate glowing review because they earned it. Final thoughts This dealership made the experience exhausting, confusing, and stressful from start to finish. If you choose to buy a vehicle from Dennis Dillon, review every detail carefully. Pricing, paperwork, communication, and the order itself all need close attention. If something can go wrong here, it just might. People I dealt with: Noah (sales), Brandon Gauthun (finance), Joey Looney (GM), Reggie, and Tye. More
Terrible customer service and only concerned with selling you a new vehicle. This has to be the worst service department in the state. Wouldn't buy anything from these guys again if they were the only dealer you a new vehicle. This has to be the worst service department in the state. Don't fall for there paid for 5 star reviews on Google and look at any other site that shows them 1 to 2 stars. Worst dealer in the state for service and repair. More
My husband and I purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra truck in July of 2024. We’ve had nothing but problems with the truck. From recalled parts, to it breaking down while towing when camping. It’s spent 1/2 it’s July of 2024. We’ve had nothing but problems with the truck. From recalled parts, to it breaking down while towing when camping. It’s spent 1/2 it’s time we’ve owned it in the shop. The “award winning” shop is lack luster. They don’t care about how long they keep your vehicle, how much of an inconvenience it is. It’s always out of their control. Well what IS in their control is how they handle the inconvenience to their customers. Customers whom spent $90k on a brand new product of theirs expecting it to be reliable. Instead of acting like it’s no big deal, maybe they should act like they care. Maybe communicate what’s going on instead of just having you dropping off the truck early in the morning, and not looking at it till the end of the day only for NOTHING to be done. Their excuses “we have 100 cars come every day”. Well um maybe you shouldn’t have people make appointments for 100 cars. If you don’t have. The time to look at my truck don’t schedule the appointment for you to look at my truck. Our truck has been in their shop four times since we’ve owned it. Anywhere from two days to two months! And not once have we ever felt like they truly tried to understand. More
