Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience here at the store. I was trying to touch base with Alan so I can try and figure out what went wrong. Based on your review I see that there were some incentives that you feel we were missing. I'm not sure how we were 10,000 apart. Unless we were on a completely different truck I believe that there must have been some communication problems somewhere because we don't loose deals...especially over 10 grand. We're currently the #2 Ram dealer in NY and it's not because we're overpriced. Our goal is to give all of our customers every possible incentive available. Usually we have people complain that we advertise with too many incentives that most people don't qualify for. We do that though so people are aware of every incentive available. By getting people qualified for all possible incentives it only increases our chances of selling a vehicle because the rebates don't come out of our pocket. Rebates are set forth and paid by the manufacturer. There would be no benefit for us to hide them. Regardless...I'm sorry that we had this misunderstanding and I would like to be able to try and sort it out. Please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you for your response Rob. No, it was the exact same truck ( Ram Big Horn quad cab ). I'm guessing it may have had more to do with whoever was the sales manager that day but none the less they made a ridiculous offer that yes was @ ten grand off! Alan never even mentioned 1 dollar in rebate money off. I then told him I was shocked and insulted! He told me I had a good deal from Saratoga and that was at. He pushed me right back to them. I couldn't believe it!

Jun 04, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Man! That's crazy...The only reason why i can think of them not showing rebate money is maybe they were using the special finance rates in leu of rebates and Alan neglected to explain. I really don't know but I'm here to help if I can. Did you already Purchase your truck from Saratoga? If so Congratulations! If not...let me know what truck you were looking at and I will I will straighten this out. If you would like, let me know your name and I can track down the worksheet from Alan which will also give me a better understanding on what numbers he was working with. Talk to you soon. Rob.

Cynherna responded

Hi Rob, My name is Cindy Hernandez. The truck I was going to purchase was a new Big Horn quad cab with Hemi, Chrome dual exhaust, 20inch wheels, I believe the MSRP was $35 something. PS: The truck I was originally running the numbers on at Saratoga, had a higher MSRP by like 2 grand, which makes Alan's offer even worse. I have not been able to bring a truck home yet. The other truck was sold. If you can help, although at this point I'm quite skeptical, I want the above mentioned options, oh I forgot to mention it had a tow PKG. Plus I want the chrome 20 inchers! Thank you!

Destination Nissan responded

Hi Cindy, Well I was able to locate the worksheet that Alan had. The truck that you were working on with a sticker of 35K has been sold since. I didn't think it was such a big deal seeings how you're on a 37K truck at saratoga so I figured it would even the field a little. Plus i wanted to make sure that it had all the options that you wanted. The truck that i picked out stickers for 37,315. You can check it out here: http://www.albanydodgeny.com/new/Ram/2011-Ram-1500-305d006f0a0a006501768615f8a2126e.htm Hopefully you can just copy and paste that into your browser so you can take a look.\ MSRP is 37,315. I have 2500 in dealer discount, a 2750 Factory Rebate, 1000 SLT/Sport Bonus Cash and another 1000 for financing through Ally Financial. That all totals 7,250 off sticker. Very similar to last months incentives however they no longer offer the free Hemi. I'm trying to figure out Alan's sheet here and i see mention of 08 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I'm assuming it's a trade. Cindy, like I said... I'd want to help. Tell me what I have to do and I'll see what kind of strings i can pull. I've got this truck here and you're welcome to it. I'd like to try and redeem the store and earn your business if i can. Rob.

Jun 07, 2011 -

Cynherna responded

I sincerely appreciate your time and efforts and offering to extend me the extra dealer discount. And I would love to work with you and your dealership and be done with all of this. But your working off MSRP. At least Saratoga and other dealers will work from invoice (inflated invoice). What were all those commercials about advertising that truck for 25K? I would have to get out all of my notes but I'm pretty sure Saratoga was down to 29K for the truck and Latham 30K. Respectfully, Cindy

Jun 07, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Cindy, I'm not exactly working off MSRP. With the dealer discount you basically hit invoice. I just wanted you to see the MSRP so you knew we were on a similar vehicle. If we work off straight invoice on this truck we'll start at 34,490.45. To make things easier we'll make it an even 34400. From that subtract out 2750 in rebates, 1000 bonus cash and 1000 cash for financing through Ally Financial. That brings it down to 29,650. I pushed them to dig a little deeper and came up with another 700 in dealer discounts to bring it down to 28,950. Now the key factor is going to be your trade which will determine your overall amount financed. Do you know what your overall amount financed is going to be on the others? Let me know what your balance is on the jeep. Maybe a little more info and I'll take it right to my GM to see if we can't get it done. Thanks Cindy Rob. Rob.

Cynherna responded

Hello, All along I planned on financing through my own credit union (RTN Federal). So far Ive been offered 16,9. For my 08 sahara unlimited from both Saratoga and Latham. Alan didn't seem to want the jeep alough he did say it was in excellent shape. He felt it was too expensive for that area. The mileage is just under 89k. All highway, Ive been commuting fro NH to Mass to NY. Thank you

Jun 07, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Cindy, Well, here's what i have. It looks like on the original worksheet had it said 10K! That's crazy... I can't come up with 16,9 but I've got 15K real money. So that makes it 34400- 700 additional discount. Less another 4750 in rebates which brings us to the 28950. Less 15K for your jeep brings it down to 13,950 + tax, title and your payoff. How close am I? Rob

Jun 07, 2011 -

Cynherna responded

Close Im thinking. I work at 3 pm though, so unfortunately I don't have time to look at all of this right now. When I have a chance tonight at work I'll take a look at it all and get back to you sometime tomorrow. Thanks so much for all your help!

Jun 07, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

OK. I will be here until 8 pm tonight so whenever you get a chance. Talk to you later Rob.

Jun 07, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Cindy, It just hit me. 1,000 of the rebates requires financing through Ally. If you go through your own credit union that is more than fine however you wont qualify for the 1000. Do you know what rate you're getting and term? If i can match it or get close that it would be in your best interest to take the extra grand.

Good morning Rob, I really have been rung through the ringer here with this whole car buying experience. So communicating with you is refreshing and makes me hopeful! I just looked at the numbers. And I know your working hard to resolve this but I think your dealership for whatever reason has a higher bottom line than everyone else! Your offer is $130.00 less than I was about to pay BUT it is for a lesser truck. The other had buckets and CHROME wheels. So it can't be the best they can do! AND the trade is off by another 2K! I hate to be hard to please here......but if I had the offer once from another dealerl II should be able to get it again! Is there any want that Dodge would work with me to get the free Hemi rebate back? Or is it expected to change?

Jun 08, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Hey Cindy, Well...2.75 for 60 is a great rate but keep in mind you'll lose 1000 in rebates for Ally Bonus cash. Ally would be around 5% I hope they know that as too when quoting you numbers. Goldstien also likes to quote a 2K rebate for taking a Balloon through Saratoga national Bank which because of your location you would be out of the lending area. As far as the free hemi goes...You can't get it back. Once it's gone and it's gone for a year. They usually only put it out for truck month but this year they actually extended it for 3 months...march, April and may! What is the actual MSRP of the truck that you are looking at? Does it have to be silver? If not what are you top 3 colors?

Jun 08, 2011 -

Cynherna responded

Black, mineral gray, silver or even white! I'll take a look at your inventory right now. PS everyone knew I was using my own financing. Thanks Rob!

Jun 08, 2011 -

Cynherna responded

You have a silver one left that's the same Alan was working up for me. MSRP is 35,4. Edmunds lists invoice at 33k. And TMV at 30k. You also have a gray one at 36,2. Doesn't mention tow though? Come on Rob get me a fabulous deal and I'll buy the black one with the MSRP of 40K! With dealer holdback and my trade they will make some on both ends.

Jun 08, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Ok, Let me see what i can do. I'm out of the store today. I'll be there tomorrow from 9 am till 8 pm and then I'm away until monday. I will look at the black truck tomorrow and stripe it right down and let you know. PS....I was way into holdback before :) Rob.

Jun 09, 2011 -

Destination Nissan responded

Hey Cindy, Here's the deal on the black truck. Just so we're on the same page..it's the one that stickers for 39,845. It's a sport with the chrome wheels, bucket seats, remote start...Nice Truck! stock number is 11T557 Invoice is 36,795. I'm going to sell it to you for 36,300. Since you're going through your credit union i have 3750 in rebates unless your military, a USAA member or own some CASE construction equipment. I got them to stretch some more on jeep and got you 15500. Subtract it all out and it brings it to 17,050 so we might as well just make it an even 17000 plus tax, title and your trade of course. Like i said, I'm here tonight until 7:30-8:00 and wont be back until monday. If you need anything and can't get to me before i leave I will get with Alan and straightened him out. He will be on the same page. Talk to you soon! Rob.
