I had a really great experience at Dow Nissan. Daniel worked extremely hard to help me get into a car, and I truly appreciate the patience, professionalism, and effort he put into the process. To be honest, I came in a little discouraged and unsure about my options, but Daniel stayed encouraging the entire time and made sure I didn’t feel overlooked. He found me a really good, newer vehicle that fit what I needed, and I’m grateful for how smooth he made everything feel. The customer service was solid from start to finish, and I never felt pressured or rushed. If you go to Dow Nissan, definitely ask for Daniel. I have been a customer of this dealership for nearly 10 years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I recently brought in my 2012 Nissan Rogue for an oil change and to have a “whooshing” n years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I recently brought in my 2012 Nissan Rogue for an oil change and to have a “whooshing” noise checked out. After the oil change, I was told I would need to pay approximately $200 for a diagnostic evaluation. What surprised me most was learning that this fee would not be applied toward the repair, even if I chose to have the work completed at the dealership. I understand the purpose of diagnostic fees, particularly when a customer takes that information elsewhere. However, charging a substantial diagnostic fee and then requiring the customer to pay the full repair cost on top of it feels unreasonable. What made this especially frustrating is that, over the years, I have experienced service errors that required return visits to correct. No dealership is perfect, but charging customers separately for a diagnosis that is not guaranteed to identify the issue and then not crediting that cost toward the repair does not inspire confidence. Ironically, my Hyundai dealership was willing to inspect and service my Nissan because of my long-standing relationship with them. That level of customer service stands in stark contrast to what I experienced here. Whether this is the result of new management or new policies, the customer experience has clearly changed. After nearly a decade of loyalty, I will be taking my business elsewhere. More
