Drove two hours after reaching a verbal agreement over the phone with Genesis. While on our way, the “Diamond Savings” were removed from their website. Upon arrival, they also tried to force a mandatory “Diamond Package” (nitrogen-filled tires and other worthless upgrades) adding $3,300 to the price. Genesis admitted lying about the price to get us in the door because he knew “we wouldn’t come in otherwise.” We negotiated with a harsh and dishonest manager. After much discussion, he took the $3300 additional Diamond Package off, but still didn’t honor the agreement we had with Genesis before agreeing to make the drive. The cost was $750 more even though the manager knew we were promised the discount by his salesman. An event that should have been memorable for our family has ended up being a hard and distasteful experience. More
