With your new texting system, I was easily able to reach my servicer writer, Barret, the night before with my concern regarding "Exhaust Filter Over Limit Service Now". The next morning Barret was able to my servicer writer, Barret, the night before with my concern regarding "Exhaust Filter Over Limit Service Now". The next morning Barret was able to get me in a rental vehicle and on my way to my 0800 meeting. However, while my truck was in the shop, I asked about the clock spring recall and Barret indicated they would fix it if they have the part. When I went to retrieve my vehicle, I was informed that they did not have the part (clock spring), and because I have a heated steering wheel, it would be quite some time before the recall part would be available. I accepted that and proceeded to drive away. The first thing I noticed was that my right turn signal was no longer acting nominally and additionally, there was an audible scrape inside the steering wheel assembly when the wheel was turned. I promptly returned to talk to Barret. My vehicle was taken to the back again to investigate my concerns. Barret returned to inform me that the clock spring had been broken when it was removed and he would expedite a new part for me. That doesn't help me when I need my vehicle for a trip a day later. The biggest issue I have is that I wasn't informed of the broken part prior to driving out of the lot. More
