Nick went far and beyond customer service, found out our tire has a bubble in it and our antanna was not on the car, he went out of his way to get the ok's from his manager to get my car fixed. I bought my 2005 Dodge Neon from Dick Hannah 2 weeks ago it was on a Thursday evening. I had a good experience buying the car from Nick. I know the rest of my review is out of his hands, but he honestly is the reason why I am not giving a 1 Star Review. I was happy I was able to get financing being that my credit is not impeccable and was happy with it when I drove off the lot, even through the whole process took about 4-5 hours. 2 days later, on the Saturday, I took the Neon through DEQ, it passed with flying colors, then later that same day realized that the floor on the passenger’s side seat was soaking wet. I tried to see if I could trace where the water was coming from and estimated that it is either coming from the windshield or assumed the heater core or the AC was leaking, intensely. I have a shop vac in my garage and I started extracting water from the passenger’s side floor, an hour and 3 gallons of water later, it was a little less flooded. I kept my eye on it the whole time, I was pretty nervous to drive anywhere because I didn’t want to hurt the car but I did anyway. I called Dick Hannah, it took me about 2 days and 4+ times calling before I got a response and explained the situation and asked them to fix it. I also asked them if they could check out my radiator fluid, it looked like an icky brown. Last next Monday I bought my car in, I had to take a day off work since I am coming from Portland and my job is much too far from public transportation to arrange anything else. The lady that works in the Service Dept said that the windshield man worked his magic when he was done they let the car sit for a while and called me and told me that they took a high pressure water hose to the windshield after it was resealed and didn’t notice anymore leaks. They were willing to flush out the radiator fluid but wanted to charge $100.00. This morning when I got into my car, guess what? The passenger’s side floor is flooded again! This time it is worse than last time. Mind you I didn’t drive it at all over the weekend but this is so un cool! I know it’s coming from behind the glove box, but nothing in the glove box is wet. I just bought the darn thing and it smells like mold, and every time I take a right hand turn it sounds like someone is splashing in a swimming pool. I hate to sound like I’m a bitchy customer, because I’m actually really cool and I understand that xxxx happens but I have to say that I am regretting doing business here due to their lack of response to this issue and I am sad to think that I actually thought these were good proactive people. They didn’t get it right the first time, they didn’t get it right the second time. Are they even going to try to fix it the 3rd time or are they going to charge me an arm and a leg? Who knows if this will ever get fixed. At this point I wouldn’t recommend this business to anyone. I would like to see this issue resolved once and for all, once it is resolved then I would love to give Dick Says Yes a good review but in the meantime…… More
Overall, the experience, while it took awhile, was not at all bad. Andrew was friendly and willing to answer questions as best as he could. Great experience. I was very nervous about making a vehicle purchase and Nick was very patient with me. It was nice to work with someone that was able to answer all our questions. Best car buying experience ever!! Thank you Cory Fortner! We drove 3 hours to try to purchase a used vehicle from Dick Hannah in Vancouver. Though we have less than perfect credit, we were assured Fortner! We drove 3 hours to try to purchase a used vehicle from Dick Hannah in Vancouver. Though we have less than perfect credit, we were assured on the phone that they could get us a good car and get a decent loan for us. We were greeted with a smile and treated with respect. After looking at a few nice vehicles, we spotted a very very nice suv. Cory called to see if it would be a fit for us and we test drove it, and fell in love. A short time later we drove off the lot with it!! Not only did we get a loan, but we got a terrific almost new car, for an amazing price. When we moved here to Vancouver from out of state 1 1/2 yrs ago, we wanted to continue having our 2006 Town and Country serviced at a Chrysler dealership service center, as we had been accustomed to. We looked Dick Hannah up online and then read the online reviews. They stunk. We didn't want to go near them. We were very dismayed, as our previous dealership gave us excellent care and service. So, we took our business to a local shop for general maintenance--oil changes, tires, winterizing, etc. Last week, our van died, and because we purchased a very expensive extended service warranty when we bought our vehicle, BUT didn't want to use their service center, we called the warranty service and asked if we could use a different mechanic service that we felt comfortable with and explained to them why. They turned us down, as per the service agreement. Sadly, our experience with Dick Hannah validated the bad reviews we had read. To begin with, the silver team rep who handled us never even looked at the maintenance sheet, even when he went over the paperwork with my husband. He hadn't been able to identify what had caused the van to die, even after keeping the van for 3 days trying to figure it out (per our request). His team did repair the sliding door motor and lock that were not functioning correctly, though. When we took the van home, I looked at the paperwork as I put it away and noticed that the maintenance sheet had the "replace air filter" box checked in the needing immediate attention section and was also noted in writing in the comments section. I called the service tech and asked him about it and he apologized profusely and said that missing that was his fault. My husband replaced the filter at home, but the van still made an odd sound, so the next morning we drove it back to their service center. The tech wasn't there, but another team member was. She got one of the mechanics to listen to the noise and answer our questions. He told us the air filter could easily have caused the issue with the van stalling, but offered to check over the van again if I wished. I asked him to please do so, which he did. Thankfully, he couldn't find anything else wrong, and the noise we heard he deemed as normal. The service tech who helped us the day we took it back for the second time said she would try to get the van taken care of as quickly as possible, and knowing that my children, whom I home school, had several classes that day, offered to send the shuttle to my house to give me a ride back to the dealership to pickup my vehicle by 12pm. When she called my house at 11:35, I missed the call due to the baby, but returned her call within 10 min to verify that I still needed the shuttle. I couldn't ever reach her directly, and she never returned my phone call. Over 2 1/2 hours, I called 5 times, trying to set up the shuttle, and then to find out, over and over, if it was still coming and when it would arrive because it was more than half an hour late, then more than an hour late, and then finally to cancel it when my children had missed their class times and it was too late for me to run my errands. Everyone I spoke to was very kind, and very apologetic about every issue we discussed. The original service tech who had helped us even called the day after the missed shuttle and apologized again. All of the apologies were professional and appreciated by us. However, apologies don't qualify as service. Their staff wasted our time multiple times during the course of the 5 days we left our van with them, especially on day 5, and had the air filter issue been addressed originally, we would not have been back to have the van rechecked on that day. We sent the Dick Hannah Customer Service Dept. a letter very similar to this review and received an email in response, but it was so poorly written that it was indecipherable. We rated our overall experience with them at 2 stars because their employees were kind and apologetic and seemed to care that we encountered so many problems. We realize that sometimes people have off days, and have decided we will probably try their service center one more time before permanently taking our business elsewhere. We hope that our next experience with them will be better than our first. More
I was in real need for a car and knew about my credit barrier. I received a phone call from Nick Barnes (from Dick says yes). He did a great job explaining me the program and what to do. Nick was great and helped us till the end even though it took us more then a week to come up with what we needed.
