Overpriced Service The people were friendly and they offer courtesy shuttles and text updates. Jonas was very helpful but when I picked up my car I got a new person who didn’t know what they did to my car! I went in for an oil change and was sold a 40K service that basically included what Speedy Oil does when they change your oil (except tire rotation). It was triple the price. They also fixed some recalls but didn’t bother to mention they’d be uninstalling my car seats to do the recalls (for non parents installing car seats is a real pain and not what you want to do when rushing to pick up your kids after work). Also they don’t even wash your car (inside or out) like most dealers do (apparently to save water but that doesn’t apply to interior sooo ...). More

Roof Top Clear Coat A couple years ago there was a recall on our daughters bug with the sun roof. We had the recall work done at Dorito Bothers. They are always polite A couple years ago there was a recall on our daughters bug with the sun roof. We had the recall work done at Dorito Bothers. They are always polite and helpful and get the job done. After a couple years we notice that the clear coat was coming off the roof of the vehicle along with the paint. The interesting thing was the area it was happening to was an exact out line around the sun roof where the repair work had been done. I called over to Dorito Brothers and asked for a service rep., which I was transfered to. He sounded young and I explained what was going on. He did not know how to answer my question since he had never heard of it happening, said the manager was out and would get beack to me once he had an answer. I waited 48 hours and never had a call back. I went online and spoke with the chat agent Greta whom was a great help and got me in contact with Marc who is the Service Director. Marc did a great job of investigating the problem with the paint and clear coat coming off the car. I even sent him photos. He talked to different division though out Volkswagen to see if anyone had ever seen anything like this and if after a couple of years if the warenty work done on the car was the problem that caused the clear coat and paint to come off the car. He was in constant contact with us every step of the way. Come to find out there was a defect in the clear coat and it had nothing to do with the warenty work. I am glad I asked and did a little pushing in the problem with the roof of the car. Volkswagen along with Dorito Brother coverd the issue with the roof of the car. Marc even got a rush on the process since our daughter would be returning to college and would need her car otherwise it would have been a big juggling act. The roof top was replaced and repainted and they even provided us with a loaner while our car was being worked on. Nothing came out of pocket! It was wondeful service and am greatful for all the help, time and effort. I had one disappointment though the whole process. That was when I picked the car up after the work was finished. I expected it to be dusty due to the repainting process. That is usually a given. I was really disappointed about the condition of the inside of the car. Prior to dropping the car off it was spotless, we had taken it to the hand car wash to have it cleaned inside and out, not knowing that I would be dropping it off that Monday to have work started. When we walked up to the car the windows were down, wwe opend the car doors and I was shocked to see the car was covered in a fine particle dust and little black flakes. There wasn't a inch of the inside of the car that was not coverd in it ie.....(Dash, leather seats, carpets, doors...ect). My husband and I looked at one another, I put my hands in the air as a jester of what the heck! I think Marc could see us hesitating and fussing with the car from his office, because he came right out and asked if everything was ok. Said we were not pleased with the way the car came back, since it was spotless when we dropped off. I expected the outside but not the inside of the car. He said the car had just been driven back this morning, but we did not pick it up til a liitle after 2pm. He offered to have it fixed if we were able to wait. We declined, just wanted to get home at this point. He said he would contact the shop that did the work to report the problem. The other kicker was mt husband rolls up the drivers side window and there is bird poop that had slide down the length of the window. Needless to say when we got home we did some cleaning. Other than that being the only disappointment, I give Marc and his crew two thumbs up for getting the Job done quickly, ontime, staying in touch with us through the whole process and getting the cost covered. GREAT JOB! More
