I originally bought a 2019 Nissan Maxima on 12/06/2025 from Dolan. FORTY-ONE DAYS LATER (well past the 20 days the law allows) Mark Miller from Dolan Auto got in touch with me to let me know they couldn't from Dolan. FORTY-ONE DAYS LATER (well past the 20 days the law allows) Mark Miller from Dolan Auto got in touch with me to let me know they couldn't get me financed for the Nissan Maxima and that I had to bring it back. My first payment should have been due in 4 days. Even with it being after the 20 days allowed by law, when they started calling me at my place of employment, I had no choice but to take the car back. After taking the Nissan away from me, they sold me a vehicle that had 18,000 more miles on it. There was only a difference of $3,000 +/- between the 2 vehicles. I had already given them $2,000 for a down payment and they made me give them an additional $500 for a vehicle that cost less. When I did the paperwork to purchase the Nissan Maxima, they included a drivetrain warranty and charged me $2,805. When they sold me the Lincoln with much higher mileage, they excluded the drivetrain warranty and raised the price of the Maximus Auto Group Warranty that ONLY covers tires and wheels even though they tell it that it covers a bunch of other items. I also told them I wasn’t paying for the Starguard vehicle tracking and it’s on my loan anyhow. They falsified the DMV Disclosure Form. The Nissan and the Lincoln were both sold to me, 41 days apart, under the same customer number (427735) and deal number (112218). I purchased the Nissan on 12/06/2025 and they took it back on 01/16/2026 and sold me the Lincoln. They indicate on the DMV Disclosure Form that the there was no second vehicle and that the terms of the loan were being changed on the Lincoln. That is an outright lie, and they were very aware of it. The vehicle had over 75,000 miles on it and they cannot show me where it had a thorough inspection.. All they could produce (which I did not get at the time of purchase) was a generic form handwritten by a service tech with yes or no written next to each part of the vehicle. It is stated that they replaced all 4 of the tires on the Lincoln. If that was true, why did I have to purchase 2 new tires in the short 4 months I had it? It is also stated that the vehicle passed smog, but there is a leak in the EVAP system and there is no way that vehicle passed a smog certification. They also signed off that the battery was in good working condition. If that was true, why did the car leave me stranded 4 times in one day right after I bought it, due to a dead battery. That was on a Friday. Saturday, they sent a salesman to my apartment to pick up the Lincoln and he left a Toyota Tacoma as a loaner vehicle. This was one of the many times I asked them to also make sure they looked into the noise the car was making. They had my car for 3 days. When I went to pick it up on Tuesday, I was told by one of the guys in the service department that they can't diagnose a vehicle every time someone brings "her" car in stating that it's making a noise. I reported the noise to my sales guy, the guy in finance, and the salesman who picked the Lincoln up at my apartment. I drove the Lincoln for less than 4,000 miles and then the transmission went out. I had to have it towed to a transmission shop. The estimate I received for a rebuilt transmission, transmission cooler and the leak in the EVAP system is $7,414.47. That is 50% of the high end value of the vehicle that I was able to drive for less than 4,000 miles and 4 months. I was also told by Mark Miller that he cannot fix every vehicle that comes through their dealerships with mechanical issues. No, of course not, they just turn around and sell them to unsuspecting customers. Chris Pitaro offered to pay for the Lincoln to be towed from Auburn, CA to their dealership in Reno so that they could also look at the vehicle. The Lincoln is still sitting at AAMCO in Auburn because that was another lie I was told. It also now has a mechanic's lien on it because it was never picked up. More

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Exceptional Experience at Dolan Toyota – Thanks to Tyler Larsen & Preston My recent experience at Dolan Toyota of Reno was nothing short of extraordinary, and it’s due entirely to the rem Thanks to Tyler Larsen & Preston My recent experience at Dolan Toyota of Reno was nothing short of extraordinary, and it’s due entirely to the remarkable leadership of Manager Tyler Larson and the outstanding professionalism of new sales consultant Preston. What they delivered went far beyond a standard car‑buying experience — it was personal, thoughtful, and executed with a level of care that deserves recognition at the highest level. From the very beginning, the process was seamless. I initially reserved a vehicle and began exploring rental options while waiting for it to arrive. Once Tyler learned more about my situation — specifically that I was unexpectedly without a car — he immediately stepped in with a level of empathy and urgency that truly set him apart. He sourced my vehicle from another dealership, accelerated the delivery timeline, and even crafted a custom contract and payment schedule aligned with my insurance process. This was not just customer service; it was personal curation during a time when I genuinely needed support. When the vehicle arrived, the handoff to Preston was flawless. Despite being new to Dolan Toyota, Preston demonstrated the kind of transparency, professionalism, and genuine willingness to educate that reflects incredibly well on the dealership’s future. He took the time to understand my preferences, walked me through every detail of the vehicle, and communicated in a way that fit my busy schedule — primarily through timely, clear text messages. His approach gave me tremendous confidence not only in this purchase, but in the next generation of Dolan’s sales team. What stands out most is how intentional Tyler was in pairing me with the right salesperson. He knew Preston’s style and personality would be a perfect match for my situation, and he was absolutely right. The entire experience — from sourcing the car, to customizing the contract, to the final delivery — was painless, supportive, and even enjoyable during what was otherwise a difficult personal moment. This was my second purchase from Dolan Toyota, and because of Tyler and Preston, I can say with complete sincerity that I will return again. Their above‑and‑beyond service, thoughtful execution, and genuine care for their customers make Dolan Toyota a dealership I recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a new vehicle. I am incredibly grateful for everything they did. More

I am sharing this experience to ensure other buyers know their rights when dealing with Dolan Toyota. I had a clear, written email agreement for an Out-The-Door (OTD) price of $48,530 on a 2026 Toyota Crown their rights when dealing with Dolan Toyota. I had a clear, written email agreement for an Out-The-Door (OTD) price of $48,530 on a 2026 Toyota Crown (Deal #113651). However, upon arrival, the 'pencil' math changed drastically. Tyler (Manager) and Hector (Sales) presented a worksheet totaling over $59,000. They attempted to pack the deal with $11,803 in undisclosed 'Pro Packs' and fees, a blatant attempt to claw back the discount I had already negotiated. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic and a violation of NRS 598. I refused to be bullied into an extra $11k in junk fees. I informed the management that I would be filing formal complaints with the Nevada DMV Compliance Enforcement Division. Only when faced with the threat of a state investigation did the GM, Casey Yukon, step in to honor the original price. While I eventually purchased the vehicle at the agreed-upon price, no consumer should have to threaten a dealership's license just to get them to stand by their word. If you shop here, bring your paperwork, know the Nevada deceptive trade practice laws, and do not back down. Better yet, save yourself the stress and go to Jim Bagan instead.
