Took 2011 Malibu in because check engine light was on. Was told after a $230.. diagnostic test it needed a water pump and a timing chain, almost $4000. worth of work to pass inspection and turn off the Was told after a $230.. diagnostic test it needed a water pump and a timing chain, almost $4000. worth of work to pass inspection and turn off the check engine light. Went somewhere else and they changed the thermostat, a sensor and a tie rod end at a 1/4 of the price. The check engine light went out the error codes were gone and it passed inspection and running fine for over a month. Stay away from this service department .
