After confirming that e-mail would be perfect for my needs, I was next sent an e-mail from their sales department telling me that Jimmy would be calling me on the phone shortly, I replied to remind them I hoped for e-mail communication. Jimmy's initial e-mail was prompt, to be fair, although it was automatically filtered into my Gmail promotions folder (presumably because it was basically a generic ad for the car I'd inquired about, and didn't address the initial question I'd contacted them with at all.). Jimmy's opening email (titled "When can you come in") did nothing more than ask if I could come look at this car in person today or tomorrow, along with a pretty generic/template looking response about answering any questions. I re-stated my out of state location and that it would take some time to plan a trip there, but that I was interested enough in the vehicle to hire an inspection service so that me and my spouse could commit to the time spent driving there knowing that one important part of a car purchase was already squared away. All I needed to ask was if Jimmy would be there the next day to coordinate with the car inspector and help them out with a test drive, since the service needs a Sales Rep. as a contact. Zero response from that point onward. I can only assume the generic sales department email account has enough eyes on it that my reply wasn't simply missed by one busy employee. Was mentioning a car inspection a red flag on their part, because they don't want their used cars inspected? (I've seen other reviews to make me concerned it was) Is this simply a sales department that has zero effort or care for a consumer trying to plan for a purchase in any way other than getting an in person/on the phone hard sales pitch where important details are easily missed and handwaved away? I'm not sure, and Annie was no help either, since I got no reply when asking a few hours later if Jimmy was busy and/or if anyone else was available to just coordinate with me to move forward. I understand dealerships deal with people who love to virtually kick tires and engage in unrealistic negotiations while wasting the staff's time, but I would hope someone who read my email would understand that a potential buyer willing to spend hundreds on a car inspection for a daily driver is much more committed to making a purchase than that. I would consider this a huge red flag for anyone trying to do their homework instead of making a kneejerk car purchase, and highly recommend you not waste your time (like I did) with a vehicle from this dealership. Paperwork Non-Compliance & Unitemized Fees: After receiving an initial quote on August 26, management sent a Retail Buyer’s Order on August 28 that attempted to cloak their processing fee under an unrequested $795 "Advantage Package." We were fully prepared to arrive in person on Saturday, August 29 to inspect the vehicle and finalize the deal, but management repeatedly refused and stalled on making this basic administrative correction required by our credit union (SRP Credit Union), intentionally dragging the transaction into month-end. False Representation & Contradictory Records: On August 31, hours after providing all requested buyer and lender documentation, I followed up only to be hit with a phantom "3:00 PM appointment" pressure tactic. At 3:24 PM, just 24 minutes into that alleged appointment, management sent a written email explicitly stating the vehicle had been sold. Exactly 21 minutes later, at 3:45 PM, management contradicted their own written statement by emailing over the fully executed Retail Buyer's Order for that same "sold" vehicle. Don Jackson CDJR North forfeited a guaranteed, pre-approved transaction due to an inability to provide standard legal documentation and a reliance on deceptive sales tactics.
