Do your own inspections carefully My wife had been searching for a Jaguar XJL for weeks, everyone we found was either way over priced or something was wrong with. We finally found one My wife had been searching for a Jaguar XJL for weeks, everyone we found was either way over priced or something was wrong with. We finally found one almost exactly like she was looking for at Don McGill Toyota, i called the next morning to make sure it was available since we live in Alabama and the dealership is in Texas. The first salesperson I talk with confirmed it was available but when I ask about the price i was told “the posted price is it, no negotiation”. I called back a few hours later and talked to a different salesperson and within less than an hour we had negotiated a price. I was told the car was getting the state emissions inspections and safety. I flew out with the funds and unfortunately it was raining when I got there so I couldn’t really look at ever on the car plus i had over a 600 mike drive to get the car home Somewhere I picked up nail in a rear tire, no biggie until the next morning when i went to get it fixed and the shop pointed out that one of the front tires had steel belts hanging out. I get the fact that it is a used car but knowing I was driving the car 600+ miles as soon as I pick up the car I think it’s kinda reckless to let someone drive off with a front tire that could blow on the interstate at 70 miles an hour. Love the car and everyone at the dealership are friendly but don’t believe everything your told. I was told several times that the car needed nothing. Well after $1000 set of tires that is true. More
