My partner and I had the unique experience of purchasing a vehicle last fall, at a time when used cars were scarce and therefore, overpriced. At the suggestion of a friend that had recently worked with Don Miller Subaru East, we called the dealership and spoke to Connor, then viewed vehicles and prices online. We were surprised to find that ordering a new vehicle would cost less than purchasing used, so we picked out what we wanted, and went to the dealership to meet with Connor in person. We expected to be talking to someone whose priority would be to try to upsell us and spend an hour talking about features we did not want. What we experienced talking to Connor was the exact opposite. He was patient, exact, and only introduced a few options (which we ended up wanting and barely raised the selling price). I could not have asked for a better experience as a first time Subaru (and new car) buyer, and can not speak highly enough of our interaction with Connor and Rory, the financier. I was hesitant about purchasing a Subaru, but my experience with this dealership firmly cemented the fact that we made the right decision. More

But Jim and the team went above and beyond to make me feel like family. Even though I was wearing a competitor brand, it didn't discourage Jim one bit. He was just as helpful to me as he would be to anyone else. It reminded me of how we do business at East Madison Toyota. Jim exercised great patience and never once acted like I was pulling his leg when I showed interest in my WRX. He followed up in a timely manner and helped fulfill all of my requests. And when Jim was busy on a Saturday, Shannon stepped in to make sure everything went smoothly. Doing the final paperwork with Rory was extremely painless too. And here’s the best thing: not a single person there was pushy or tried to pressure us into anything. A really refreshing car buying experience. The whole transaction took place out in the open - they don’t hustle you into an office and shut the door behind you. Due to my schedule, my wife had to sign all of the paperwork and close the deal herself; she was a little uncomfortable with the idea, but said she never felt intimidated or pressured.
