I now drive the extra distance to take my Outback to Oakland Subaru because they fixed a warranty covered issue two closer dealerships couldn't or wouldn't fix. This recent visit was for a StarLink soft Oakland Subaru because they fixed a warranty covered issue two closer dealerships couldn't or wouldn't fix. This recent visit was for a StarLink software update which was done promptly. While that was being done, they discovered another software update was needed that the two previous dealers had missed or failed to perform. They took care of that, too. Kudos to Lucian and crew for going the extra mile and keeping me informed of the status of the work. Also, while I was there, I stopped by the parts department where Dennis promptly identified an engine part I wanted and, not that color mattered, took time to assure me that the un-painted part he provided was the same as the old one that probably had some black paint on it. Top-notch customer service from all I have done business with there! More

After I left my car for service, I received a call saying they would like to buy my car and invited me to meet with a VIP Manager. I said yes,as my current car is 19 years old! However, when I returned to Downtown Toyota to pick my car, I asked the service department to speak to the VIP Manager and was told "well, they just want to sell you a car". I said "yes, right" and I was told "well, it's going to be a while" and he walked away. I was prepared to let go of My Favorite car ever, until I realized Downtown Toyota doesn't want/need my money. Poor customer service! More
