Terrible Experience at Moon Township Subaru - Beware! I recently took my car to Moon Township Subaru for a free state inspection, but I left with a $581.92 bill for work I never authorized. Without my consent, they performed the 30,000-mile service, even though my car only has 26,000 miles on it. I was never asked if I wanted this service, and I certainly wouldn't have agreed to it. The experience only got worse. My 9 AM appointment stretched on for over three hours, and when I checked on my car at 11:30, I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later, I asked again--only to find out that no one could even locate my vehicle. That's when I was hit with the most outrageous news: my car wasn't even at the dealership anymore! They had sent it to another location without telling me, and when I asked where it was, they refused to tell me. I tried asking other employees, but they ignored me and turned their backs instead of helping. I have never had a problem here before, but after this experience, I will never return. When I called my husband and started complaining in front of them and telling my husband what was going on. SURPRISE!!!! My car showed up. If you go here, be extremely cautious--ask questions, get everything in writing, and double-check your bill. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable. More

Great purchase experience terrible service experience - beware of internal checks and costs associated. They really took advantage of a young lady that was told several filters "failed" inspection. She felt the car would not pass the state inspection. The car is not even one year old and only has 14,000 miles on it. The maint. dept changed out all the internal cabin filters and that bill was over $200.00 dollars. When she was called about the estimate, they told her that the car failed the inspection. She was not told the car passed the state inspection without issue, but they found cabin filter issues. The cabin filters were not requested to be checked. Just preform the state inspection. When she received the call and told it failed, she told them to replace. I really wanted to find a dealership in Pittsburgh that I could trust for my daughter to take her new car to for service. She just moved to pittsburgh and purchased her first car there. Doesn't give a day a good feeling at all. Will not be taking the car back there. I called and talked to the service manager and he told me that is how they check every car. His team did nothing wrong - I questioned the review paperwork, and how it states "failed" next to the filters and how would a 22 year old (first new car owner) understand the filters would not need to be replaced to pass first inspection for the car. if all the filters are that dirty, Pittsburgh better check it's air quality..... I expected a different response from the Maint. Manager and that he may need to explain to his staff how they may need to explain items to young customers More
