Chuck, I can assure you that the service advisors would not tell a customer that filters would fail a state inspection. We perform a courtesy multipoint inspection on every vehicle, so customers are made aware of what their vehicle may need. The dirty filters were shown to you so you could understand why they "failed" — or did not pass— on the multipoint inspection report. When the suggestion of dusting off the dirty filters and putting them back in the car was made, we declined this request because we do not stand behind that low quality of work. Brian After our prior discussion and careful consideration, I find it necessary to address the concerns surrounding the recent inspection of my daughter's car. The use of the term "failed" in the multi-point inspection results has caused significant confusion and unnecessary worry. It creates the impression that the vehicle is unfit for operation without immediate repairs, which is not the case for a one-year-old car undergoing routine inspection. Unfortunately, this crucial aspect wasn't adequately communicated to my daughter during the initial phone call, leading to unnecessary stress and a hefty bill for repairs. My primary goal was to entrust my daughter's car to a facility that not only performs thorough inspections but also takes the time to clearly explain findings and instill confidence in their services. Regrettably, my recent interaction with you and the overall experience at your establishment fell short of these expectations. Instead of fostering trust and understanding, the conversation felt rigid and contentious, lacking the empathy and clarification needed in such situations. I had hoped that the service department service experience would have been as exceptional as the sales department, but that is not the case. I will have my daughter take her car to another Subaru dealership in the future for service. I do not feel your dealership is concerned about the small things, and client interaction. I want that small town service and we certainly didn't find that with you or your staff.
