The checker at the supermarket, friendly, helpful sales clerk, server at a restaurant. People make judgments about a business on how they are treated by “the Face”. Recall service visit First of all, I want to say that my ultimate Service Advisor, Louis, is fantastic. (I said ultimate because the first time I came in, the service app First of all, I want to say that my ultimate Service Advisor, Louis, is fantastic. (I said ultimate because the first time I came in, the service appointment started with someone else.) Louis was very knowledgable, personable, and professional . When I came in to pick my car up, there was about 20 minutes of confusion locating it. Once Louis was made aware of the issue, he literally ran across the service drive in an attempt to expedite locating the car. But, before Louis was involved, this service visit was not so good. The scenario below outlines the issues I am attempting to bring to the dealers attention. From the beginning... I received a note in the mail regarding a recall for my 2017 Corvette, suggesting I bring the car in. I called Dublin Chevrolet and was quickly assisted in scheduling an appointment for the recall. I came in on the appointed date, August 6th, only to find that the parts needed for this recall were not in stock. I waited to hear back from Dublin Chevrolet regarding receipt of the parts – but the call never came. I called the dealership and inquired about my parts – only to find they had arrived some time ago. I made another appointment to bring the car in on August 15th. I was told the car would need to be kept overnight. No problem. I then waited again for word that my car was done – but once again, no call. After a few days, I called to find if the work had been completed. It had been, so I went back to the dealership to pick it up. With no less than 4 people looking for my car, it took over 20 minutes to locate it and bring it to the service drive. List of Concerns 1) Why was I allowed to schedule an appointment when the recall parts were not in stock – and cause me to be inconvenienced to bring my car in for virtually no reason? 2) Why was I not called when the parts became available? 3) Why was I not called when the work had been completed? 4) When I called to see if the work had been completed – and told that it could be picked up - with myself telling the service person I’d come right away to get it – was the car not located and waiting for me? I would appreciate hearing back from someone regarding answers to my rather long-winded note. James DePew More
