Weston was introduced to me as my sales rep, and he did great in helping me find a car for my wife. After test driving several different Crosstreks, I found one with all the features we were looking for at great in helping me find a car for my wife. After test driving several different Crosstreks, I found one with all the features we were looking for at a reasonable selling price. The sales manager Michael was not very personable, and offered little in the way of good customer service. We were trading in a vehicle that had a KBB estimated value between $4500 and $6000. Michael only offered us $3000 for the trade in, and I noted that I would agree to buy the new Crosstrek if he could agree to give us $4000 for the trade in. He refused to go above the offer of $3000 for our Toyota Camry that was in good mechanical condition, had low miles, and the only body damage was a dent in the rear bumper. After further negotiating, Michael agreed to give us $3300 for the trade in, and knock off $500 from the selling price of the Crosstrek. My wife came after work to trade in our Camry and get the Crosstrek. We left the dealership that night in our new Crosstrek, quite happy with the vehicle purchase. When we got home, I noticed that we had been charged for an additional service plan, and surplus maintenance plan. The next day I drove to the dealership to speak with someone about cancelling these additional protection plans. As I walked into the dealership, I was approached by Michael the sales manager, and he comes up to me telling and tells me that I "pulled one over on them by getting them to pay $3300 for the trade-in." Michael then accused me of lying about the condition of the vehicle, and said that the vehicle was only worth around $1500-$2000. We had just put new brakes on the Camry less than 3 months ago, and the Tuffy mechanic who replaced the brakes did not find anything else wrong with the vehicle. Michael's comments were uncalled for, especially since this exchange happened right in the front of the sales floor where multiple customers and salesmen were present. I completed getting the additional service and maintenance programs removed from the contract, which reduced our financed amount by $2100. The next day I decided to take the Crosstrek back to the dealership, and was ready to tell the dealership we changed our mind, and would like a refund of our deposit based on the inappropriate comments/behavior of Michael the sales manager. Before I went into the dealership to speak with Michael's manager, my wife called me to say that she really loved the Crosstrek and thought it would be hard to find a similar one with the same color and options at another Subaru dealer. I then went inside to see about getting an apology, and maybe an offer to get an additional 2 free oil changes or the equivalent in a refund. I spoke with a different Sales Manager by the name of Denny, he apologized for Michael, and was willing to offer me some logo wear from the gift shop with Subaru merchandise. More
Patrick was essential in helping me find the perfect car for me. He was knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. He carefully explained my financing options and helped me through the purchase process. He for me. He was knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. He carefully explained my financing options and helped me through the purchase process. He explained and demonstrated the options on my car at time of delivery. Patrick patiently answered all my questions, no matter how many times I asked them. Patrick was the best! I'll be back to see him for my next Subaru. More
I had a poor start with the purchase of my new Subaru Forester Hybrid since the original salesperson was inattentive and appeared to lack interest in the sale. Fortunately, the sales manager (Darren Henr Forester Hybrid since the original salesperson was inattentive and appeared to lack interest in the sale. Fortunately, the sales manager (Darren Henry) was extremely understanding and guided me to another of his sales representatives, Tyler Domain, who did a superb job in completing the sale and explaining various aspects of the vehicle. Tyler even went the extra mile by stepping in when the person originally designated to explain all of the technological features of the car was injured in an accident and couldn't meet with me for the appointment. Tyler was fully able to answer all of my questions and helped to install the Apple Car Play. Tyler is a great teacher-he is very patient and understanding and it was a real pleasure to work with him. Also kudos to the sales manager for handling an initial awkward situation so well. More
Matthew was an excellent salesperson to work with. Made the purchase of a new car as easy as possible. Clayton was also helpful and Michael kept the financial aspects as engaging as possible. Went to Subaru of Ann Arbor on 6/6/25 for an oil change and to get the wiper blades replaced. According the the paperwork I received, that is exactly what happened. I drove straight home (not using the wip and to get the wiper blades replaced. According the the paperwork I received, that is exactly what happened. I drove straight home (not using the wipers) and didn't move the car again until 6/9/25 when I drove it to Safelite Autoglass to get a stone chip repaired in the windshield. The service tech asked me if I wanted him to replace the wiper blades because the driver's side was almost completely torn off! He brought me back to see the car and I took photos of the blades that were supposedly replaced 72 hours prior. When we called to ask what happened, their response was that the autoglass repair shops always try and sell you new blades when you get the windshield repaired. It's not reasonable to assume that the damage done to the wiper was new and occurred while the car was sitting at my house for roughly 72 hours in average temps and conditions. I don't have a clue what other reason they could justify the implication that Safelite erroneously said the blades needed to be replaced if they didn't. I live roughly 30 miles from this dealership and cannot take off work AGAIN to go down there and have them replace what they said they already replaced a few days ago. I'm thankful Safelite noticed the problem before I set out into Canada the day after tomorrow with faulty blades. The service advisor, Joshua, also wrote in a text message, "I did not even charge you for the wiper blades..." He did not charge me because the car was still covered under the initial warranty with less than 30,000 miles on the car. More
