Lied to and had license and keys held for over an hour. We entered the dealership to ask the price of a used car on the lot. For some reason most cars no longer have prices on them. The dealership was busy We entered the dealership to ask the price of a used car on the lot. For some reason most cars no longer have prices on them. The dealership was busy, we waited patiently for something that should have been on the car in the first place. Eventually a saleman asked what we wanted, we asked the price and were told about $36 but there was a special that day and between 3 and 4 thousand off. The salesman's accent was very thick but we both heard the same thing. We were then offered a test drive and a estimate of trade in on our current vehicle. Our keys and my license were taken and we were put in the car for a test drive. All fine to this point. We returned to the dealership and were put at a desk where we waited and waited. We couldn't leave because we didn't have a license or keys. The salesman was closing another sale, more power to him, that's his livelihood. Eventually we were shifted to another desk and the salesman left us sitting again. After a long wait, we mentioned that we had an appointment and needed to leave fairly soon. We were put off again and I got up and searched for my license and keys. Seeing my keys, I asked the guy who was holding them for my license so we could leave. I was told that I had already been given my license. It took far too long for the saleman who had my license all along to produce it from his pocket. No apology for that. He then miraculously held us up to give us the price, 38k down to 37 as a deal. We of course left. I have had a couple of adequate experiences with the dealership and by couple that is 2. One was inspecting work done by another shop and the other was getting keys made. Anything past that, don't bother. My wife being nice, told the salesman on the way out not to call me but he could call her with a trade-in price and the price of a similar vehicle. They were never to call me. I just received my second call and fully expect another next week. In past experience, I was charged over $300 to change a fuel filter (no estimate, no used part) and over $200 to reprogram the computer under a recall. I was also given the wrong part by the part department after explaining that there were two parts with the same number and they were not interchangeable. Something the parts department should have known themselves. More
