Once upon a time...in a land called Car Buying...there was a dealer with a good rating on the internet, and I was thinking about upgrading my ride. My adventure starts with email contact with Brandon. I am a very busy adventurer, so I do not have time to sit around wasting any time at a dealership. The internet and email work much better for my lifestyle. Brandon was wonderful, awesome! He replied to my emails in a professional manner, and was very pleasant to work with. He listened and provided exactly what we were looking for, even understanding my time constraints... 5's across the board for Brandon!! Thank you Brandon! Will was also friendly, and helped create a positive experience. There is an "evil villain" in this story, (his name was Sam), who said no to everything, even saying that he would charge more for one used vehicle than was even written on the windshield. When he sat down, in front of my lovely family who were sitting, patiently waiting, he glared and proceeded to start and end the conversation with: "I am not going to waste my time for the next 3 hours arguing with you!". I said that I also would NOT argue, NOR spend three hours there. Sam glared...we left. :( ... thankfully Brandon was kind enough to stand up and work for us...Will agreed. The evil villain was defeated! :) In finance, Marcus was pleasant, and friendly...however, I was confused and frustrated after 3+ hours...and I am still confused... I could not find out whether there is a manufacturers warranty (nothing in writing, said it wasn't available, and couldn't get a straight answer), and whether purchasing a warranty was really a neccessity, or if the manufacturers warranty, if there is one, would cover the main large items / issues...I emailed the next day and went back in, as I still don't know about the warranty, or lack of warranty. I will give additional kudos to them though, because they did ask me to come back in, and met with me again. Mark in finance was very friendly and helpful the next day, though I still do not understand the difference in manufacturer warranty/additional warranty. PROS: A good experience/friendliness with Brandon, Will, Marcus, and Mark...and except for the one evil villain, everyone else was very friendly. Also, I am updating my rating, as they did meet with me and work things out in a professional friendly manner. CONS: took forever (about 8 - 9 hours) total, all the visits, one evil villain/troll, and confusion about certification, and warranty. More

I have searched 25 years for this type of Dealership - I've always wanted to find a Chevy dealer I felt was knowledgable, friendly and cost conscious. Most of all, I wanted to find a Service Dept. that I could rely on and depend on to have the skills and knowledge to get to the heart of any problem issues - my goal was to find a Chevrolet Dealership that when I drove off the lot after a major repair - I could and would have the feeling of knowing it was fixed by the best. This (Thorobred Chevrolet) is that place! All the people mentioned, especially Steve Marley, took the time to explain everything thoroughly and provided detailed information to every one of my issues and questions. Through several days of interaction with this group, and performing separate inquiries, I found this entire group to be the most knowledgable people I've ever in my life run across. Their level of expertise and knowledge is simply unsurpassed, and I've been in and out of Chevrolet dealerships for 45 years, both buying vehicles and taking vehicles in for service/repair. This team of people at Thorobred Chevrolet are the experts and the best in the business. They treated me, and my specific questions and concerns with respect and on a very timely schedule - making sure I fully understood the repair procedures on a pick-up in for major repair, as well as on a new vehicle I purchased while at their place of business. In all instances, including the major repairs, as well as the purchase of a new vehicle - I felt strongly the pricing and my costs were very fair; it was a win-win for everybody. All in all, I don't believe I'll ever find a team of people with more expert knowledge and skill to take care of issues -- and who will listen and work with me in such a friendly manner. Unethical sales practices: I was offered an amount for my trade by a salesman with the consent of his manager. I considered their offer and was prepared to accept 3 days later.
