Dear Saul Spiel, Thank you for purchasing your Chevy Volt from East Hills Chevrolet. We disagree with your characterization of our business. One of the inconveniences you referenced in your review and in other reviews you posted online relates to what you called a 100 hour delay in ordering a tire for your car. We were made aware of your need for a new tire on a Friday evening, after our distributor was closed. We ordered the tire on Monday and it was in stock on Tuesday, thus causing a “100-hour delay”. We cannot predict the timing of issues like you experienced. We can only take care of customer needs as soon as they come in and within supplier constraints. As far as other inconveniences go, we show 8 repair orders or manufacturer communications in our database that include goodwill reimbursements for non-warranty items. If East Hills Chevrolet failed on any of those occasions to take care of your needs, then we appreciate the feedback and we will continue to strengthen our processes to improve our business. Following your first review, our owner reached out to you. I'm told you've spoken with him on three separate occasions. Our owner has even provided you his personal phone number as a direct contact. As far as barring you and your wife from East Hills Chevrolet, that is absolutely correct. Your history of disrespectful treatment in addition to your recent outburst toward our receptionist gave us no other option. What you didn't write in your review was that you were verbally abusive and you threatened her. Despicably, you called her the “C” word. No matter your level of frustration, we have zero tolerance for the “manners” you used. You have created an unsafe environment here and it is best that you take your business elsewhere. Dear Kasztan, I apologize for your experience at East Hills Chevrolet. I have spoken to the service director and the general manager about your visit. Our technician should have rotated your tires during your visit, like you had requested. That was our fault and we should have been more diligent with the paperwork submitted by the service advisor. My service manager relayed that you also wanted us to eliminate a squeak you've been hearing with your vehicle. I was told the vehicle was purchased recently from another dealer and that it had 30K miles on it. I was informed that we took your vehicle on two test drives to identify the problem. My records indicate that you accompanied the technician on at least one of the test drives to properly identify the source. It was unfortunate that this issue was not covered by your vehicle's warranty and that there was a charge for diagnosis. I was told that this charge led to your frustration and that is why we waived the charge to diagnose the source of the squeak. The intent of our service manager referring you back to your selling dealer was not to minimize your troubles, but to provide an avenue whereby you could get the issue eliminated with no out of pocket expense. We sincerely apologize if you felt any other way. We strive for a world class experience at East Hills Chevrolet. We wish you the best with your vehicle.
