Nathan is personable. He doesn't come across as a pushy salesman. I worked for a very short stint in car sales in Gurnee, IL and I have seen what pushy car sales looks like. With the economy, it is definitely a tough industry. Every customer seems to want a new car at invoice. The core of car sales, in order to bring up the price, would be to add on accessories, such as rust proofing. I signed on for a tire replacement program. All things set aside, Nathan helped me utilize this feature when I had gotten into a bad road situation with my vehicle. One of my tires had to be replaced. He replaced it, but not without having to illustrate the situation for him. With Nathan being so descriptive with everything about our car sales, he failed to mention that my tire replacement program was only good, without out of pocket cost/then followed reimbursement, at his dealership. I live in Skokie, IL. I signed on for the replacement program with the understanding that these types of situations never happen right near your dealership. I knew the tires on my car weren't the durable type, and built more for dry road and performance -- I needed to have the convenience of not having to set aside money for a possible tire issue. You know? Just fix it! I kind of felt that Nathan didn't get that when I told him that I felt like it was the responsibility of his dealership to handle the red tape. He followed through, but I had to draw a picture for him when I was already stuck in a very inconvenient situation and very stressed out. I also think Nathan told me my Matrix had Blue Tooth. I does not. Nathan is great. I really believe that every person should see this man in order to purchase a new Toyota. I cannot complain otherwise, but I am in customer service too. All the customer sees (not myself. I'm different.) is when something bad happens, then all the good you've done as a sales person, up to that point, means nothing. Nathan needs to understand that. I know in car sales, this aspect is hard to swallow, but perhaps this sinking economy should make all dealerships think twice. Last: Do NOT go to Grossinger Toyota in Skokie. They're TERRIBLE!! I think it's so tacky when a car sales person uses the one liner, "What can I do to get you in this car today?" PUHLEEESE!! Oh ick. It sounds like prostitution. I have seen the way they treat their new car sales people.. it is so terrible. Not uncommon (I was treated the same way when I was new), but they made it apparent in front of me, the customer, which is not going to make me purchase a car from them. They seriously need to be put out of business. They are whores. More
In all aspects of our purchasing experience, our encounter at Jon Lancaster Toyota was excellent. There were no pushy arrogant sales tactics used from anyone during our purchase experience. While we always investigate multiple dealerships/manufactures before we purchase a vehicle, Jon Lancaster Toyota (Nate and Abby) has earned a top spot on our list! We have no experience with the Jon Lancaster Toyota service center yet, but if all other indicators are correct, this will be a good experience also. More
We drove 250 miles to the Jon Lancaster Toyota dealership. The Toyota Sienna that we were interested in was on the show floor, and we ended up buying it the same day. We knew what we wanted to pay, and after negociating with her supervisor, Tashi was able to get us the price we wanted. She also was a huge help in suggesting that we finance through Toyota that same day, so that we could drive the car home that day and not have to make another 5 hour trip to Madison. We cannot say enough positive things about this dealership! From the outside lot, to the showroom floor, to the pick up dock, to the financial officer, but especially Tasha, this dealership is the best we have ever dealt with. More

Tashi had dealt with me before with my previous Camry in 2006, and she worked with me to get a vehicle that would suit my needs at the present time. I don't need all the bells and whistles on a new car, ju 2006, and she worked with me to get a vehicle that would suit my needs at the present time. When the recall for the 2010 Prius was announced in the paper, she called me that morning to be sure that I would call and make an appointment. She has always been knowledgeable, friendly and concerned. More
My RAV4 was totalled in an accident for which I was not at fault. I was unemployed at the time and needed a reliable vehicle that I could pay for in full with the money I received from the insurance compa at fault. Shawn was very considerate and sympathetic of my loss and understanding of my situation. He found me a great vehicle that was not only in my price range but was practically worry free because it was a Toyota Certified vehicle. I very much appreciate Shawn's friendly attentiveness throughout the buying process. Tom put the icing on the cake: he, also was very considerate and sympathetic of my situation. He worked with me to make it affordable for me to purchase the bumper-to-bumper protection package so that I could be even less concerned about having to pay for major maintainance or repair bills in the next couple years. His willingness to bring the price down to where I could afford it means a great deal to me - more than I can put into words. I have worked with the Jon Lancaster service department since I purchased my RAV4 in 2004. The service staff have always been very friendly and helpful. They fully explain the work they need to do and are upfront about the cost. The work is performed efficiently and well. I have had no complaints. More
Back in 2004, my husband and I had a growing family and decided to research vehicles. I thoroughly researched all brands and chose the Toyota Sienna. I was so pleased with our purchase and fell in love immediately with the van and how well we were treated throughout the entire purchase and maintanence processes. Peter was absolutely the best salesman that I had worked with over the years and when times got tough he was right there for me. I was in the middle of a messy divorce and could no longer afford my Sienna. It broke my heart, but Peter made sure that the kids and I were taken care of. I traded in the van and purchased my new Toyota Corolla that I still own. I love my vehicle and the services that come with it. Instead of dreading my maintanence routine, I look forward to going to Madison for my oil changes and any maintanence that it may need. The staff are super friendly and accomodating. Family friendly and definitely on top of their game, the staff at Jon Lancaster Toyota will always rank #1 in my book. Despite the recent news about Toyota and re-calls, I have no doubt in my mind that this strong company will rise above and continue to be a #1 company. I look forward to purchasing my next vehicle from Jon Lancaster Toyota, Madison, because of the quality, service, and great care that I have received over the years.
