I had leased a new vehicle, and was very impressed. After an unfortunate divorce, I had to turn that in, bought a used vehicle for you. Salesman was very helpful. When I picked the vehicle up, I was surprised to find it sitting outside-very different from the new vehicle that was inside, and the salesman spent much time with me. Used vehicle, I basically was asked if I had questions, and had a very quick once over. The Service Dept-I was not impressed-felt I was taken advantage of on more than one occasion as I'm a female- mostly oil changes-I was told I needed a specific kind of oil, just to talk to my brother who said that was not so. On 2 occasions in a row, I was told I had a nail in my tire-I told the fellas that if it happened one more time, I'd think they were putting them in the tire. The look on their faces said that may be what was happening. At that point, I switched to a family member's service station as I can trust him. More
In 2008 December, my wife & I were struggling with our 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid on the snowy & icy roads of Madison, Wisconsin. We were thinking of trading it in for a SUV like vehicle which would do bette 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid on the snowy & icy roads of Madison, Wisconsin. We were thinking of trading it in for a SUV like vehicle which would do better on snowy, icy roads. However we had not made up our mind about the make of our new car or the dealer to approach. I had casually filled up inquiry forms on a couple of dealer websites including one for Toyota. One of them was John Lancaster. Immediately after that in a day or so I think Abby Riesen called me up and encouraged me to schedule an appointment. I still remember, she called me on friday afternoon and set an appointment for Saturday (the very next day). We then walked in to the dealership still not prepared to make a decision about which make to buy or which model to settle with. Abby received us with a very warm welcome and helped us understand our options at Toyota. I was actually very wary about the sales person tactics. But just after a few minutes of talking with Abby & Nate we felt very comfortable. They were extremely friendly and they set a very nice pace in our talks and were not pushy at all. They patiently answered all our questions and arranged for test drives of rav4, highlander, sienna etc.. I had expected to be in & out of the dealership in about a hour's time. But instead our appointment lasted for actually a few hours. Inspite of that both Abby & Nate were very patient encouraging & stayed with us while we kept changing our mind. Infact what we thought was going to be just an initial scouting visit to a dealer ended up being the last step of our decision making process. We actually walked out of the dealership with the decision to buy our Sienna and at John Lancaster only. The few hours that we spent with Abby & Nate on that Saturday is definitely the reason why we proudly own our Sienna today. They both took care even after the deal, to make sure we were still satisfied with our new vehicle. I think to sum it up, they both are just simply fantastic and I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends or dear ones! More
I went through USAA buying service. Nate and Abby made the process very easy and pleasant. I was able to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and take a long test drive on a variety of roads. Shawn has helped us with our second Camry now. He came in on his day off and got the deal done. He was very helpful and HONEST and that is why we will continue to buy from him. Did some price comparisons via the Internet and found Jon Lancaster competitive. Abby Riesen responded to my inquiry and was very helpful. We ended up buying a 2010 Prius which we love (no brake or acceleration problems) and the car consistently gets 46-48 miles per gallon. WOW Nate assisted in the new car run through and checklist. I have always had a wonderful experience at Jon Lancaster I tell everyone even with the recall I am still buying a Toyota. Toyota's and Jon Lancaster are hands down better then the rest. Nate and Abby were terrific. I am a Honda die hard loyal, so the fact that I bought a Toyota was a big deal for me. We gave a 3 for price since there was no negotiation on that - if we only knew the recall was coming we'd have pushed harder on that :-). All kidding aside, we are actually not dissuaded about Toyota's quality due to the recalls. We love our Prius so far and so glad that Nate and Abby persuaded us to buy one. I am hoping it runs for 15 years with no issues like my Accord...that will be the real test! More
