In fact, Landon and his crew went above the rest in terms of satisfying our needs and finding us the best rates around. Even after the sale was complete, our needs were still important. Shawn's customer service was great. He had put in a full day at work already but waited for us until we were able to get in to Madison from out of town and worked beyond his hours just to help us out. I really didn't think we'd get into another lease as easily and quickly as we did but Shawn really worked at getting everything ready for us to go that same night and we drove off in a new 2012 Camry. He never made us feel pressure and he was courteous the entire time, even though his "work day" had passed. Just like he said, the next day he was back at work, he called to ask how we liked the new ride. He balances sales with service - no pressure, but ever reminding us he's available if we have questions or need something. Shawn's your "go to" guy when you're in the market for a vehicle. Thanks, Shawn...and you're right - we're lovin' the ride! More
Over the years (I am 82 years old) I have dealt with many new and used car dealers and I can honestly say that Jon Lancaster Toyota in Madison is the BEST experience to date. Prior to purchasing our 2010 new and used car dealers and I can honestly say that Jon Lancaster Toyota in Madison is the BEST experience to date. Prior to purchasing our 2010 Toyota Camry LE I was permitted to have the car thoroughly inspected by a Master Mechanic in Madison (from whom I bought my 1987 Toyota Camry LE) - taken in trade by Jon Lancaster Toyota) The "Certified" 2010 from Jon Lancaster "passed muster" provided the seller fixed (without charge) a couple safety parts which apparently had been overlooked. The dealership saw that these discrepancies were promptly corrected thanks to our salesman Landon Frenz. The Fiscal Officer, Mr. Anderson meanwhile interviewed my wife Sally and I at length and in detail, explaining all financing options available to us. We decided to pay cash for half of the total amount due, and the other half with a 2.9% Toyota auto loan. Throughout the two-day experience with the Jon Lancaster Toyota dealership was a total pleasure. More
Given our budget we were only looking at used cars and even the one we found (somewhere else) my spouse thought was too expensive. I am not even sure why we pulled into the Lancaster lot but we did. As much as I would have loved a Toyota I knew that even used, we would not be able to get what I wanted within our budget. I even just waited in the car. 20 minutes later my spouse came and got me as Trevor had showed him that we could get a new Toyota and stay within our budget with a lease. As a finace person, I have always been a bit leary to lease but Trevor put us both at ease. He understood the process and was able to easily talk us through every question we had. It was nice to not have to be bounced around to 5 different people to get answers. Trevor also knew everything there was to know about the van we purchased. The dealership closed and we were still sitting there getting every question we had answered. We never felt like we needed to wrap things up or rushed. I did not feel pressure to buy and in the end Trevor tossed in some things to keep me happy. (maybe I was not supposed to say that here??) We came back the next day to pick up the car and again spent hours going over every feature of the car to make sure we knew how to use it. Even as I was pulling away I had more questions, went back in and got them answered. I would recommend Trevor to anyone looking for a car. More
Curtis Carney was the salesperson I worked with in purchasing a 2012 Camry Hybrid. Classic Bait and Switch. The dealership continues to advertise a low price vehicle they have not had for at least a week. They also offered to order me one, but the whole point of looking for one online is because I wanted one now. I haven't seen any other dealerships doing this, they have all had the vehicles they are advertising. I know there are all kinds of excuses on why this would accidently happen, but I don't see anyone going to extremes to fix the problem. Shawn was nice, but I wasted a lot of valuable time arranging a loan and shipping for a vehicle that didn't exist. More

We met Shawn almost 4 years ago as we started to check out Toyotas. Shawn continued to keep us informed with new models, features, company promotions, and info so we could be very informed when we were ready to purchase our new vehicle. Shawn worked with us, and never applied any pressure, rather he was genuine and down to earth, and regularly let us know that he "was there for us" when we were ready. This appealed to us and built trust in him for our eventual purchase. We would recomend Shawn to anyone in the market for a vehicle. Shawn is a "True Professional". More

Being from the Chicago area, I had tried many Area Toyota dealers for a Prius V, which I quickly determined from my online surfing was in very short supply. I did locate a car that met my desires at a suburb dealers for a Prius V, which I quickly determined from my online surfing was in very short supply. I did locate a car that met my desires at a suburban dealer, part of the large and national AutoNation chain. My experience was the not unusual in this area and I was given a bate and price raise plus required purchase of unwanted addon dealer expenses. Exactly the experience I had been hoping. I then tried Madison Toyotas dealers inventories on line and quickly found a large selection at Lancaster and the exact Prius V I was looking for and the online price was better than the "bate one" in suburban Chicago. I had a nice telephone conversation with Shawn Stittleburg at Lancaster and he immediately e-mailed me the "out the door" price that I requested. The number was exactly what was shown on line. Coming from Illinois to make the purchase in Wisconsin, Shawn provided me with the explanations I wanted such as---registering the title in ILL, transferring my ILL license plates to the new vehicle and paying the required ILL use tax. He assured me that Lancaster was experienced in handling these out-of-state transactions and I found that indeed they were. The whole purchase procedure took about an hour with no pressure to purchase add- ons in the signing process. Shawn provided my wife (who was the principal driver of the Prius V ) with a review of the use of the electronics on board the car and a helpful familiarity drive around. We were thoroughly impressed with Shawn's approach, niceness and integrity in the purchase process and would heartily recommend him to anyone contemplating the purchase of a Toyota, whether an ILL or WISCONSIN resident. I was very unhappy with Landon's service! As soon as he sold me the car, he didn't want to have anything else to do with me. He didn't even go over any of the features on the car (which I am finding out as sold me the car, he didn't want to have anything else to do with me. I felt as if he took total advantage of me since I am a single older woman with not a lot of car since. My trade-in was $800 below Kelly Blue Book's lowest price for a trade-in and my car was in really good shape, except it had a lot of miles on it. (I found this out after I told a fellow worker what I got for it.) Also, he said that he was throwing in the mats, but they were listed on the bill which I didn't notice until after I signed the paperwork. When I tried calling Landon the next day, he never did take or answer my calls. I even went back to the dealership the next evening and he would not talk to me, he referred me to his manager who finally came over to talk to me after I was there for almost an hour. The manager was not any more help or understanding then Landon! He said that the mats where between Landon and myself and he would have to give me a check for them - what kind of place is this? I wanted them off my loan to make my monthly payment less! The manager also said that there was nothing he could do about the trade-in. I felt totally cheated by this company as I went home that night and all the manager could say to me that I would feel better after I drove the car around. It isn't the car, it's the monthly payments. I finally talked to Lance, who went through all the paperwork with me when I bought the car, and asked him to take off the hitch I wanted installed (which I didn't have done) and the mats which I was going to return since I didn't want to pay $350 for mats! He was very helpful and said he would send the money for the hitch and mats to the bank and that I could keep the mats. He even said that when he asked Landon what was going on, he just ignored him. This is the second car I had bought from Jon Lancaster and it will be the last! More
