The fact that they made it right is the reason we will recommend them and use again in the future. More

False advertising with price I came in to purchase a car that was marked down on line but they end up charging me more then the mark down price that was listed on line. Everytime I came in to purchase a car that was marked down on line but they end up charging me more then the mark down price that was listed on line. Everytime I asked the price of the car they avoided the question. So they false advertise an add haggling fees. More

I didn't intend to buy a new car, but Eastern gave me a terrific deal and I was so comfortable at the dealership I did!. The restrooms were pristine and on a cold day, warm water to wash my hands! Unfortunately the manicurist was busy so I didn't get a chance to get my nails done. And, they fed me lunch. On a serious note, Mack was very , very knowledgeable about the Prius and able to easily show me tips and tricks on the new car that werent on my old one. I highly recommend the experience. More

Very Poor Experience I found a car on the Internet from Eastern Shore Toyota and contacted them on Thursday, November 8th. We completed all negotiations over the phone an I found a car on the Internet from Eastern Shore Toyota and contacted them on Thursday, November 8th. We completed all negotiations over the phone and I agreed to purchase the vehicle on Friday evening, November 9th. Given that I was outside the area, I had to fly in to complete the purchase and pick up the car. On Saturday morning, November 10th I purchased a one way ticket to Pensacola, Florida arriving in Friday, November 16th. They agreed to pick me up at the airport and take me to the dealer after arrival at the Pensacola Airport. Given that I needed them to hold the car for me, I gave them my credit card number to put a deposit down on the vehicle to hold it for me. Throughout this whole process, I worked directly with Jonathan Howze to complete the transaction and he was very easy to deal with. Much to my surprise, on Monday evening, November 12th, I received an email and phone call from the General Sales Manager, Barry Terranova informing me that the car I agreed to buy had been sold. He stated 'It is unfortunate and a very unique set of circumstances that created this confusion and mistake'. When he and I spoke, he apologized profusely and agreed to refund the cost of my one way airline ticket. It now been about seven weeks and I have not received nor do I expect to receive a refund from Eastern Shore Toyota. Barry Terranova no longer replies to my emails either though initially he had reassuring me that a check would be sent to me. I can not recommend this dealership for Internet sales for people out side the region that are traveling to the dealer. They can not be trusted to hold a car with a deposit to are they trustworthy to follow through on their commitments. Why would you ever tell a customer that you would refund an airline ticket bought on good faith and then not follow through? This is very unprofessional and I can not in good faith recommend this dealer to anyone that has to travel to purchase an automobile. I have no idea if they are better to deal with if you are located in the area but I would be dubious. More
Terrible Financing Department I am based out of Louisiana and was pre-approved for an auto loan from a Louisiana-based credit union. I went to the dealership the Saturday before Ch I am based out of Louisiana and was pre-approved for an auto loan from a Louisiana-based credit union. I went to the dealership the Saturday before Christmas and had no issues with the salesman, who seemed to know more about the out-of-state financing procedure than the financing guy I had to deal with. The man in financing took hours to "figure out" how the dealership was going to be paid for the car even though the loan agent from the credit union explained it to him as clear as day multiple times. He wasn't comfortable waiting until after Christmas to receive the money, so he asked me to sign a "security loan" through the dealership in case he didn't get the money from my credit union which would be null and void once payment was received. When it came time for him to sign the letter of guarantee that afternoon and send it back to the credit union so a check could be sent, this guy went MIA. He printed out the letter of guarantee, gave me a copy, and has not answered any phone call or email since. I had to get someone in a different department to badger the man on Monday to sign and return the paperwork because she was the only person I could get in touch with. Now that payment has been sent, I am trying to contact him to make sure the "security loan" is null and void, but can't even get the operator on the phone. Everyone who works at this facility has a voice-mail box that is full which automatically ends the phone call. I have called over 20 times in the past 3 days and have spoken to 5 people. If you are shopping out of state for a vehicle and pre-approved to finance, I plead you to not go through this dealership. The lifetime warranty and low prices aren't worth being left on the hook for 2 loans and not being able to contact ANYONE who works at this dealership to cancel the second loan or check the status of paperwork/transfer of funds.
