Martin lliev was very kind and patient with us as he went over all of our options. He did not mind showing several different cars to us in the bitter cold and encouraged us to test drive all the cars we were over all of our options. He did not mind showing several different cars to us in the bitter cold and encouraged us to test drive all the cars we were interested in so we could make an informed decision. He was very patient as I was indecisive and went back and forth retrieving vehicles despite the weather so I could choose the right one! After we signed the papers he stood outside in the freezing weather and helped us take the center caps off the tires of the old vehicle, which he did not have to do. The process of choosing the right car for us took several days but Carbiz and the sales agent still made it seem very easy. More
The level of customer service received from Fred was awesome. We made a purchase from him back in 2007 and was glad to see him there when we came back for our second purchase. From the initial contact to the time I drove out of their lot it was an awesome experience. Purchased my dream car, a 2012 Shelby GT500, at a great price and it was everything they advertised. The reason for our visit to Carbiz was due to me The reason for our visit to Carbiz was due to me recieving an auto loan offer through Capital One. I had called the evening before our visit and spoke to Ray Allen. He was very polite and professional on the phone. Informed me of what was needed to bring into the dealership with us in order to try for a vehicle. The morning of our visit went quite well. We were greated by the young lady at the front desk. She had informed us that the sales team was in a meeting and Ray would be with us when they were done. She also informed us that we were welcome to help ourselves to coffee and donuts. After several minutes, we were introduced to Ray. He unfortunatly had another client and wasnt able to help through the buying process. Ray had introduced us to Javier. Javier had taken the time to speak to us as people, not sales figures and dollar signs as with several dealership we had gone to that same week. Javier sat us down, gathered all info that was needed, and proceeded to help us with purchasing a vehicle. The only standstill we had come to was the down payment. Javier had come to us informing us that we needed more then what we could financially afford to put down. At this point, my wife and I were about to give up and head home knowing that we weren't going to get a vehicle that day, nor anytime in the future due to finances and an inoperable vehicle that would take several thousands of dollars to repair. Javier had gone to financing, spoke to them and the sales manager, came back to us a few moments later and asked us to pick out a few vehicles to look at. A little confused, we picked cars to look at and test drive. Javier took us out in the cars, talked to us as people, and treated us as people. Came back to the showroom after deciding on a vehicle, and proceeded to purchase the vehicle we picked. Filled out paperwork, then we were taken to Myron Boyd to fill out the rest of our paperwork. Again, Myron spoke to us as people, not sales figures or dollar signs. Informed us of everything we were signing. If we had questions, he answered them. Overall, our visit to Carbiz was very pleasing and professional. Will we revisit? Yes we will. Would we recomend Carbiz to friends and family? Yes. The staff at Carbiz is full of personable and professional people. The gentlemen that had worked with us, took the time to talk to us, get to know us as people and meet our needs and by far exceeded our expectations. We had left there pleased and satisfied with how we were treated. More
I went to Carbiz in June of 2012 to look at a 2008 Lexus IS-F they had listed on cars.com. I went and checked the car out and took it for a test drive and was overall pretty happy with the vehicle. I had IS-F they had listed on cars.com. I went and checked the car out and took it for a test drive and was overall pretty happy with the vehicle. I had them appraise my trade-in and this is where I should have known this place was unprofessional and a ripoff. They severely lowballed my trade-in, which I expected to some degree, however I take VERY good care of my cars and my trade was no exception. They first tried to offer me some ridiculous number because they said the air conditioning doesn't work (turns out you have to actually hit the button that says A/C in order for it to work, imagine that) it needed new tires (even though the tires I had on the vehicle were 2 months old and had about 2000 miles on them), and basically marked every single tiny scratch on the vehicle and tried to lowball the price. After showing them how to turn on an air conditioner and how to properly measure the tread depth of a tire I decided it was my turn to scrutinize the IS-F so I went outside and pointed out the scratches that were present on the vehicle and the sales guy I worked with said it was no problem, that they could be buffed out (I was skeptical of this but more on that later) and all of this was written on paper when I decided to purchase the vehicle (exact wording was "fix scratches on rear quarter panel"). I was also told that the vehicle was ready to go for XM, just call and switch my service over. I was told to make an appt with the service shop to take care of the scratches. Once I got home and XM would not work I did some further research and found out that in fact the car needed a $650 part and about $150 worth of labor to get XM going as the 2008's didn't ship from Japan fully equipped. Fast forward to about a week later I brought the vehicle in to get the scratches "buffed" out, I had to take time out of my day to drive all the way up there and drop the car off. I was told the next day it was ready and again took time out of my day to go pick the vehicle up. This is where the problems really began. It looked as though nothing at all had been done to the vehicle and it actually appeared to be in the same spot I left it in when I dropped it off. When I spoke with the service manager he said the scratches were too deep to buff out. At this point I am fairly upset as it didn't matter HOW it needed to be fixed, it just needed to be fixed as per the deal that was made before I purchased the vehicle. I had to get back to work so later that day I called Brian the GM. He told me they would get it fixed and I instructed him that the bumper needed to be taken off, repainted completely, and put back on in order for the paint to match correctly as I didn't spend 44k on a car only to have someone spray paint over it. I also said that I was told the vehicle was ready to go for XM when it in fact was not. He stated that he knew someone who could take care of it for me and they would of course cover the costs. He told me to make an appointment to drop the vehicle off for the second time. About a week later I dropped the car off again, and was once again greeted by a nice surprise. When I dropped the vehicle off the service manager went over what was to be done and made it clear that Brian had informed him I would be covering the cost of the XM install. I demanded to speak with him as this was not what he told me a week earlier. When I met Brian he lied directly to my face and said that he had never told me they would cover the cost of XM. I was extremely furious at this point and took him over to my car to explain that the bumper NEEDED to be removed and repainted and clear coated. He all but pushed me out the door and said it was fine, they would take care of it and make it right. I once again left my car at Carbiz to take care of the problem. The next day I was called (much to my surprise) and was told it was ready. I asked Brian if it was done correctly and I was told "it looks great!". When I got to the dealership, it was once again not done properly at all. The vehicle was filthy with dust on the outside as they had wet sanded the bumper and spray painted over it, and they did a horrible messy job at that. At this point I was absolutely furious because I had now wasted two trips to get this fixed correctly. He had a lot tech try to clean up the paint or whatever else was on the vehicle in order to make it better and when it was finished basically said that was it, and there was nothing more they could do. I am still considering filing a lawsuit against Carbiz as they did NOT honor their end of the deal which was written down before I even purchased the vehicle, not to mention I was lied to by my sales person (whom I later learned was fired shortly after my deal, probably for promising things the business didn't want to deliver) as well as by Brian himself, directly to my face. I am a man of my word and I expect others to be as well. I do not understand how this business got dealer of the year but they shouldn't be selling anything other than used Civics and Accords in my opinion. If you are searching for a car there are much better places in the Baltimore-Washington area to purchase them. Caveat emptor More
The best experience of buying a used car! have always bought used cars but never had this kind of help and support before. Sarah drove my prospective purchase to my trusty mechanic and returned it to th bought used cars but never had this kind of help and support before. Sarah drove my prospective purchase to my trusty mechanic and returned it to the store. The car received an excellent report and my usually fussy and critical mechanic recommended it and assured me I was getting a great deal. Sarah dropped the car off home for me. My mechanic recommended replacing a bulb and suggested the battery be replaced. Both were done without any negotiation. I am always nervous when buying used cars but would definitely use carbiz again. Thank You! More
My wife is a Saab lover. She has a 1995 and wanted to up grade to a newer model. We looked all over the internet and could not find a good car with low miles and in good condition. Carbiz was the only deale grade to a newer model. We looked all over the internet and could not find a good car with low miles and in good condition. Carbiz was the only dealer in a 60 mile distance with the prefect car for us. The whole deal went smooth and pleasant. Carbiz is the dealer for us and our friends. We will recommend them to everyone we know.. More
Ray understood our needs and price and was very patient and informative as we tested various models and options. He took the time to explain how the dealership worked relative to service and never gave us and informative as we tested various models and options. He took the time to explain how the dealership worked relative to service and never gave us a hard sell on any particular model or pushed on the most expensive vehicle we considered. We felt he wanted to ensure we got what we needed. I would highly recommend the dealership and Ray. More
