O man where do I even begin with the car buying experience. Starting off Abigal from the back office was nice to call us after we initially scheduled a test drive and let us know the business model experience. Starting off Abigal from the back office was nice to call us after we initially scheduled a test drive and let us know the business model of EchoPark however when we arrived the car was not ready and in fact someone looked at it an hour before us and bought it when we thought we had first right of refusal. The salesperson was Nick wasnt super nice and did not set expectations for all the steps. We test drove a few cars and liked one we wanted to buy however the bank was closed so we couldn't authorize the full cash value for the debt card purchase. We placed the deposit online to hold the car so it wouldnt get swiped out from us like the first car and then nick and the sales manger creating the sales form got mad at us for doing that. Again they did not explain what was happening and just left us in the waiting room for 15min so we thought we were doing the right thing. They did not like that we were not financing the vehicle (which we know is how you get paid on the backend of transaction) and we did not buy any of the add-on, which again how you all are getting paid on the backend. When we left after placing the deposit they gave us the wrong sales order and after 3 attempts of getting the correct one we were pretty frustrated. The next day we came with the cash and they took over an hour and a half to have us electronically sign 5 documents and take the money (which only took 10 minutes). No one congratulated us on the car, no one apologized for the rudeness, not setting expectations, and for not really helping us though this process. Since I am so heavily involved in the car scene and market I will be sure to pass along the bad word how awful the Dealerhips buying experience was. A few other things about our salesperson. When using my home address, he told us to use a different one since taxes would be cheaper, he was in fact so wrong and told me I was wrong. I have bought numerous nice cars over the last few years so I knew the process, but he insisted I was always wrong. He also told us buying a car is a really long process, again, it only took a few minutes to process the paperwork and take payment, also buying numerous cars I was familiar the process and have never waited so long in my life. If someone at the dealership does not know the answer, please say "I do not know" and check. I caught too many in correct statements about the warranties they were trying to upsell and taxes. Please do no shame people for paying all cash and not taking the extra warranty add-ons. I cannot reiterate enough how horrible of an experience this was. More
I have to first start off by saying that I’ve owned my vehicle that I purchased from Echo Park for about a year I bought my car last year in August, I bought a 2020 Hyundai sonata and let me tell you it’s vehicle that I purchased from Echo Park for about a year I bought my car last year in August, I bought a 2020 Hyundai sonata and let me tell you it’s the worst decision I have ever made in my entire life. I came in with a $6000 down payment for my car. My credit wasn’t perfect but it wasn’t bad either. They stuck me in this 2020 Hyundai sonata paying $741 a month. I know what a rip off. They lied to me about hidden fees. Echo park participates in predatory lending. Please be aware my fellow minorities and my fellow young people trying to purchase a car from here!! Do your research hard before coming here. My car depreciated $15,000 in value which means I’m $15,000 upside down and to put the icing on top of the cake my car is literally falling apart. I haven’t had a car reck and I take good care of it. They sold the car to me with problems that I didn’t see until I drove off the lot. I could be driving a luxury vehicle with the credit I have and the down payment I put down on this toy car that I bought from echo park. Echo park literally gives off pushy salesmen. Although, it’s not 100% their fault about this car deal they got me in to its 90% their fault. If you are going to purchase a vehicle from these scam artists just make sure you bring your brain with you because that’s not what I did. BTW I do not wish to be contacted by anyone from Echo Park! No emails or phone calls and absolutely no letters. This is my final review and it will stay! More
