I read a lot of reviews about the company, never having heard of them. These are my observations about what I read in reviews. They really want you to finance through them. I didn’t mind that. The only negative that came from that was that my credit was hit by about 7 lenders which dropped my score about 25 points. Interest rate was less than the one soft check I had done on my own. They hard sell the warranty. Although both me and my SO told them we didn’t want it before we drove up, it was still offered strongly when we arrived. But once we were like, but for real, no thanks, we moved on. The warranty SOUNDS great though. We just didn’t feel the need to spend an extra 3k. I will add that they seem to get you a better rate if you take the warranty. Consolation prize I guess. I was concerned that the estimate for my trade in might change with the closing of the deal. It did not. And echopark offered the most of everyone. I don’t know about you, but my least favorite part is the amount of time it takes to buy a car. This was really no different in the amount of time spent. But at least the time spent was more about just waiting your turn vs haggling back and forth. I’d never been to an echopark location before. My SO took the car for the first appraisal in Houston. I was shocked at the size of the Grand Prairie operation! There were people making deals everywhere! Lots of tables and people. Overall, I’m completely happy with the process and end result. DeMeon was great, car is great! DeMeon answered all my questions, even ones that made no difference to our deal. I’m a curious person. And I appreciate the knowledge. The fact that they mostly only sell cars that are 1-4 years old and around 40k miles or less means we would likely shop here again in the future! More
