Dear El Dorado Chevrolet Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received from your Sales Manager, Dillon, during a recent visit to your dealership. From the beginning, I clearly communicated—on multiple occasions—that I did not want my credit pulled, as I already had a pre-approval letter from another bank. Despite this, Dylan was extremely pushy, rude, and dismissive. He assured me he could get me a better rate and insisted that unless I applied for financing through your dealership, he would not sell me the vehicle. I felt pressured and backed into a corner, and ultimately agreed under duress—resulting in my credit being pulled five times. After applying, Dillon made several conflicting and misleading statements. He claimed I now needed to go to my bank in person to inform them of my intent to purchase the vehicle, despite the fact that I had already communicated my pre-approval status with both him and the sales agent. Then he added that, based on the credit results he pulled, I now needed a co-signer or had to make a large down payment—again, none of which aligned with the terms of my bank’s approval. Dillon’s approach was not only unprofessional, it was deceptive and stressful. He was rude, aggressive, and clearly more focused on pushing in-house financing than providing a transparent and fair sales process. Customers should not be misled or pressured into decisions that harm their credit and waste their time. To be clear: Dillon was rude, pushy, and dishonest throughout the entire experience, and I believe he should be reprimanded for his behavior. On the other hand, I want to commend Michael, the sales agent I initially worked with—he provided excellent service and was respectful and helpful from start to finish. This experience has left me extremely disappointed. I expected better from a dealership with El Dorado Chevrolet’s reputation. I would appreciate a direct response from the General Manager regarding how this situation will be addressed and what steps will be taken to prevent this kind of conduct in the future.
