My son thought that was for the insurance company because that would make his premium higher. But when someone from the finance company called to verify what he does for a living he told them DoorDash not knowing they would deny him and tell him they couldn’t finance. And then these no good folks kept his $500 down payment and said he owes them some money. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!! I originally put this review up last Tuesday and the salesman IMMEDIATELY called my son and pretty much begged him to have me remove it and said that he was still trying to work on getting something for him. Well, Well. Here we are a week later and we ain’t heard nothing from him. They reneged on the contract . How you think you’re entitled to keep someone’s down payment when YOU are the reason the financing fell through? So if he traded his car in, you get to keep the vehicle? Best run that money back. Because it does NOT belong to you!! Even other car dealers are saying how illegal this is. More

He was honest from the beginning about being a DoorDash driver and was told financing would not be a problem. He made a $500 down payment, signed paperwork, and was allowed to drive off the lot with the vehicle. A few days later, the financing was suddenly denied because of his employment the same employment they already knew about from the start. Now they are refusing to refund his down payment and are trying to charge him additional fees, even though this situation was not his fault. This is very misleading and unfair business practice. Make sure your financing is 100% finalized before leaving this dealership with a vehicle. More
I visited Elder Mitsubishi on March 21 to purchase a vehicle, clearly stating from the start that I am a DoorDash driver. They assured me they could work with my situation and got me approved for financing. After making a $500 down payment and completing all necessary paperwork, I drove off the lot with my new car. Just three days later, I received a call from the finance company to verify my employment. When I confirmed that I was a DoorDash driver, I was shocked to receive a call from the dealership asking me to return. There, the finance manager informed me that the loan would not be honored because of my employment status, despite having disclosed this information upfront. This situation is baffling. If the financing company doesn’t accept DoorDash drivers, why was I approved in the first place? I feel misled and confused about how this happened. Now, they refuse to refund my $500 deposit and are attempting to charge me $195 for every day I've had the vehicle, along with a $500 restocking fee. While I understand there are clauses in the contract, it feels incredibly unfair since the loan denial was not my fault. It appears that Elder Mitsubishi is more focused on making sales rather than ensuring their customers are treated fairly. They have not made any effort to resolve this situation, leaving me feeling cheated. I strongly advise against visiting this dealership. If they had a lower ranking, I'd be looking for negatives. This place SHOULD BE BLACK LISTED for ALL military personnel. I recently visited this location, searching for a truck. Immediately upon arrival, you're asked for your ID to be checked in. (Quick way to just take your information) Then if you request to SEE a vehicle before you're even walked outside to look at it, they Immediately request your drivers license again and ask you to start the application process. Mind you, you still haven't seen the vehicle. I refused this process altogether. Finally, I was allowed to view the vehicle I had seen online. When the test drive was completed, I requested the out of door cash price for the vehicle. These individuals took over 30 minutes to come up with some numbers that led to a $7162.00 increase in the posted price. This price included 3 different types of vehicle coverages, neither asked for nor approved. Per Texas law its illegal to force upon someone a warranty, etc, especially without even asking if they wanted it. Also Immediately before even getting to the add one, they added an Apex protection plan, used it in the vehicle total and taxed that total rather then the vehicle by itself leading to an average of $200 on the vehicle tax. Needless to say, I've requested contact with the 'supposed' General manager Dave 3 times and have yet to speak with him. According to the Killeen location, he works out of the Cedar Park location and rarely ever comes here. This vould explain why everyone in the Killeen office looks fresh out of high school and can't answer any questions. Not to mention, the floor manager that we met on this day was a salesman the last time I was there. Sad story. Stay away!!! More
